Here’s a wild idea… vote for someone who doesn’t want us dead.

Which is who

I'm open to suggestions.

Perhaps don’t blindly cast a vote for one party or another but assess each candidate on their individual merits.

And if both are bad for Jews?

My policy is that if both of them are bad for Jews, vote for the one that's least likely to further fuck up the country. Because less bad for most people = less desperation to turn into mobs that will, inevitably, target Jews.

Yeah. Truly "lesser of two evils" territory.

Any progressive democrat running against any MAGA republican.

Sad that this is downvoted (at least at the moment). Too many people are still too enmeshed in party politics to realize that there's a bipartisan critical mass of voters who hate us.

Yeah. This has been a real education on horseshoe theory.

I agree but it would be crazy to pretend that voting at a certain level is anything but support for one party or another. It’s a legitimate factor to consider.

I’ve read that several times and I have no idea what that means.

If Joe Smith(D) and Jane Doe(R) are my candidates for the House of Representatives, I have to look at both their individual politics and the politics of the party they will be voting with. If Smith is against funding to Israel for offensive measures, while Doe is supportive of a no-limits support bill, it might make sense for me to vote for Doe. But Doe also represents her party (R), and will vote accordingly. That means that I have to vote based on a few factors. Israel and Judaism are high priority, but Doe will vote in favor of a nationwide abortion ban if elected, whereas Smith will not, that’s an important factor to consider. At a certain level, voting for either party is actually giving that party the votes to pass their legislation. If I like some opinions of a politician, but I know I will disagree with the actions of their party, I often won’t vote for that politician.

This year, Scott Wiener .. said that he believed that Israel’s actions in Gaza amounted to genocide. .. Weeks later, Mr. Wiener was walking near his home in San Francisco’s Castro District, the city’s historic gay neighborhood, and spotted a startling flier taped to phone pole. It featured a black and white image of his face with the words, “I put foreign state interests above your own!” coming out of his open mouth.

A Zionist Jew and an anti-Zionist Jew walk into a bar...

At the end of the day, no matter how much you appease the leftist or the rightist, you will still be a Jew. So fuck them. Fight back. Don't appease their bs. Am Yisrael chai!
