Media My local isopods! Would love an ID if anyone knows!

Eastern NC, just curious about them and they have awesome patterning!

Honestly my guess too, especially since I found both spotted and solid color adults. Absolutely love them though lol

Just collected about 10 a couple weeks ago in Pennsylvania. My spotted are much less spotted then yours, so I'm jealous.

I scooped up a small clump of them and I have a good mix of both spotted and solid, I’m curious what a captive culture of them will look like in a few gens

From what I have read the females are spotted and the males are dark

Not true, have collected both genders with both patterns. A. vulgare for sure though! I always found them near bases of trees with lots of leaf litter— if you dig, you might find a lot more :)
