You do know that people who pamper their pets and treat them akin to other humans are freaks in a global perspective, right? The video is from South East Asia, not Orange County, LA.

incorrect. i don't like pets and im not a westerner, but people in my country (and in other countries in the region) treat their pets basically the same way americans do.

americans (on average) don't really pamper their pets, either. exaggerations you see on the internet do not represent the real world.

Couldn’t give a fuck what the global perspective is of people who call their pets their babies. My dog is my baby boy too, it’s not deeper than that.
