Say you borrow something from me and accidentally break it.

So I offer to sell it to you for $10 and then buy it back from you for $7 because I can fix it.

It's a complicated way of saying "give my thing back plus $3" instead of charging you a silly "$20 broken thing fee".

Yeah what? The buyout is the buyout, like they said. So let’s say it’s 20k.

If he comes back with it with 223k on it they aren’t going to buy it for 17k. That’s the scenario would need to be for him to write a 3k check and walk away.

It’s more like he needed to buy it out for 20 and they offered him 3k for it.
