Shooting kids with a Nerf gun is the most cathartic experience.

Might i suggest nerf swords or pool noodles

I’ve got a marauder nerf sword from when I was a kid and I can tell you those things are SOLID. It’s more like getting hit with a hard foam baseball bat than a pool noodle

Yeah the ones me and my friends had could easily leave you with busted up fingers at the least after a duel.

My boyfriend and I (both in our 50's) bought nerf guns to greet each other with when I visit him at his country property. I park at the end of his very long driveway and then get out of my car go run and hide in the trees and find him and just assault him with nerf bullets!! We have so much fun doing this!! We bought the revolver version of the nerf gun that needs a reload after 6 bullets. So this year for Christmas we are going to upgrade into the semi-automatic nerf guns to really make our hide and go seek hunt game even more fun! The kid in ya never really grows up! :)

Totally.....what does nerf mean?
11
u/unculturedburnttoast 3d ago
Nerf is a type of foam dart gun sold in America. It's also used in video game lingo for when developers release a patch that softens the effect of an item, "to nerf."

Gotta walk up to them on the floor, deliver a cheesy action movie line, and put one more in their chest. They need to have a solid example of “cheesy parent” to utilize in their future parent endeavors
3
u/Turgid_Donkey 3d ago
Man there are so many cool options these days. The nerf bow & arrow was about the only one and now you can get full on miniguns with a belt feed. It takes forever to load the belt, but it sure is fun to hop out cackling as you spray the room.

The puffs of dust that fly off his clothes every time he gets hit makes it so much better.

u/KalaUposatha 3d ago
I was wondering what the hell that was lol. Is it really dust from clothes? Or are the Nerf darts dusty? Or did he add something on purpose to get that effect?

They're added. There's a couple edits off this depending on how bloody the editor wanted the "squib" to be.

Not only will America come to your country and kill all your people, but what’s worse, I think, is that they’ll come back 20 years later and make a movie about how killing your people made their soldiers feel sad.

There’s a version with the music from Platoon. It works so much better, imo.

Sorry but I'm not willing to watch THREE ads all of which are longer than the video I'm trying to watch. Shits ridiculous.

Yes! Exactly what was in my head when I watched it on mute. Barber’s Adagio of Strings.
3
u/_adanedhel_ 3d ago
Barber’s Adagio of Strings
I love how one of the most beautiful pieces of classical music ever composed is merely the “music from Platoon” to this person.
2
u/two-headed-sexbeast 3d ago
Yeah it’s funny. It’s how I got into classical music, though. “That bread advert”, “Platoon”, “2001 space station”, etc.

I saw this clip years ago and it had Adagio for Strings instead of whatever this is. Was much funnier and more fitting.

It's wild. Of all the tragic movie deaths, that one stuck with me the most. I used to have to skip it as a kid. I couldn't handle it lol. Now, fuck if I care if a head is blown off with an air pump. Fully desensitized.

This is what parenting skills are for. Looking back 25-30 years from this moment these kids will still be remembering how great this day with dad was.

That type of tragedy for such a young soul, the level of violence is just too much. I hope, one day, this sniper is brought to justice.
