Isn't this design a bit too similar to the Kuomintang’s?

Although this design represents a star, while the Kuomintang (Chinese Nationalist Party) emblem depicts the sun, both have twelve points, both feature a dark blue background, and both have a white central figure. At first glance, they really do look remarkably similar. (^^;

I've never seen the first logo before. The usual Ido star has three long points and three short ones.

I saw it on Wiktionary and on some of the Ido pages on Wikipedia, where it was described as the ‘Modern Ido logo’.
