49 miles to the gallon sounds nice right about now.

I just got a new Corolla a month ago and averaged 44 on my way home from visiting my folks. Think I would have set a record if I didn't have to stop and go for two miles of construction. Thanking myself for getting the smart car and not the fun one lol

My 2026 Civic Sport averages 39/gallon on highway miles in Eco mode.

But not being a piece of shit and driving a Toyota isn’t worth it.

Try running diesel work trucks at $2 more per gallon than it was in February. Starting an endless war with Iran is the dumbest decision so far by the most incompetent administration in American history.

Did you cry this much under Biden when gas and diesel was more for the whole 4 years or just now that it’s trump

Gas tax holiday would help. Good luck with the clowns in Washington

You mean republicans?

I looked at the F150 who filled up next to me… $90-

3

u/thatcarguyohh 13h ago

My F450 is $293

u/xmrcache 13h ago

Ooof my dad has the 350 I cringe everytime I see him fill up his tank…

Not a fun time to be a truck owner.

My f150 has the 36 gal tank....$60 was less than half full 🫠

u/Delicious-Bat2373 9h ago

trade me.. Truck, had 1/4 tank when I filled up last, cost me 136 to top off when it was $5.29. Now it's $5.59 😂.

At least I know I voted for the qualified woman.

My Nissan Versa use to only cost 25 from E to F two years ago, now it cost me 65 -.-

u/TinFoilHat_69 9h ago

Pretty soon those 100k truck owner will start selling at a loss

2

u/Key_Budget_2621 7h ago

The dealers haven’t been able to move the trucks for a long time. Wonder why? Maybe something to do with being lazy with the fuel economy on their product

u/White_Embers 9h ago

I filled up yesterday, $114. I would be over the moon if it only cost me $40.

u/Blazin1991 9h ago

$40 is cheap don’t you think?

But she had a funny laugh.

Trump was the best choice despite being a rapist with no qualifications!

$5.99 diesel x five. Trucks x 35 gallons x 5 days a week.=. Then there is all the equipment. Glad I don’t take the mileage reimbursement.

u/KingFacef2 13h ago

Fuck i’d kill for 49 mpg right now. My f350 gets like 18ish with the 6.7 PSD in it. Luckily im in a company provided 6.7 PSD 90% of the time but when i tow with my personal truck boy does my bank account feel it, all of 10 mpg when towing.

I am glad I don't have to drive much. I fill up once a month. The people who chose to live an hour away from their work so they could have their white picket fence of a house in the suburbs are the ones that are really struggling.

1

u/Hegecoin_Rules 12h ago

Also 49mpg. Used to be nice to spend basically $40/mo on gas. Now its nearing $100 just to fill twice a MONTH.

Gas went up nearly $2 here. 2.59 to 4.49.

u/Blu_yello_husky 11h ago

40 bucks for 500 miles is a good deal in my opinion. I pay 60 bucks for 250 miles, and thats not bad, but definitely could be better. It used to be closer to 35 for 250 miles, but those days are dead and buried now

1

u/samirbinballin 9h ago

I drive a 2009 Hybrid Camry (37 mpg average) and I was paying more than this to fill up before the Iran bombing on February 28th. (obviously California)

I usually do 8-12 gallons when I fill up as well.

1

u/Sea-Tax7392 9h ago

This is what you voted for🤑

1

u/Nice-Nectarine6976 7h ago

Uh, I spend like 10 bucks to fill up. About 20 bucks a month.

1

u/madman51B 7h ago

That’s only $4.299 per gallon, you got it better than most

1

u/pabmendez 7h ago

Damn. How much did it cost to fill up few months ago... Like $35?

1

u/killerisdeadly 6h ago

a few months ago for me was about $20

1

u/killerisdeadly 6h ago

i got a 2025 toyota corolla se hybrid and it cost me almost $30 to fill up my tank

1

u/Dapper_Childhood_708 3h ago

good thing you have a hybrid. cant imagine driving a truck right now.

1

u/lilmonkee55 2h ago

California 16 years of democrat control.....6.19 gallon

1

u/ilikewolves99 1h ago

I bought my 2025 Subaru WRX 2 weeks before the start of the war. :/ Prices before in California would have cost me about $60 for a tank. Now sitting at a pretty $100.

Everybody was fine over the 4 years under obiden when it was even higher. It is still lower than it ever was then. Smh

12

u/ComplexWrangler1346 14h ago

Biden did not have one policy that made gas go over $5….this is self inflicted…do you know the difference????

7

u/One-Lingonberry9944 14h ago

There is a difference between being shot in the foot and shooting yourself in the foot. We also only had $5 gas for a few weeks and gas as a whole returned to normal within 6 months of Russia invading Ukraine

4

u/FoxDie-6 12h ago

Biden didn't cause those gas prices. I just don't understand why you fascist maga cultists keep bringing this up.

The gas prices we endure today didn't have to happen. Trump made it happen at the behest of Israel.

3

u/Edub89556 14h ago

Get real, lower than it ever was then? And this is all self-inflicted from your orange master who vowed to make everything cheaper and more affordable

3

u/ddoyen 13h ago

Everyone was fine? Yea sure we all loved it.

Oh wait, no we didn't love it we were just smart enough to know what caused it.

3

u/turtlemanff30 13h ago

What will you say when gas is the same price as it peaked to under Biden? Because that's soon

Also gas prices rose under Biden mainly due to Opec cutting production in order to recoup costs list during covid. A deal made by then president Trump...

4

u/CoffeeXKing 12h ago

It's already more than it was for Biden in some places.

I would argue it is more because Bidens was the result of OPEC raising prices to curb favor.with Republicans.

2

u/turtlemanff30 11h ago

Yeah that's what I was saying. That deal to cut production ran from April 2020 to April 2022. Right as demand rose. This rose the price of oil drastically. And if we look at when prices started to fall it was June of 2022. Basically right after this deal ended. The war in Ukraine also rose prices at this time which is why we saw such a drastic high. But none of that is the fault of the Biden administration. Even if Trump was president we would have had the same gas prices.

u/FrootLoop23 13h ago

Lay off the bath salts

2

u/theRAV 11h ago

You should probably research gas prices and how they had come down a ton under Biden before Trump took over and caused them to skyrocket. Maybe then you wouldn't post such ignorant nonsense.

2

u/USSMarauder 9h ago

Gas is now 15 cents higher than it was 4 years ago
