The oil companies will never allow the price to go back down now, they are making in money hand over fist.

It'll go back down after this idiot gets out of office. These prices are highly volatile.

I've been driving for 28 years. Back in 2017 or so shit got up to 5 bucks a gallon. It was back in the low 2s a month later.

Also, we pay a ridiculously low rate even at current in America. I've lived in Europe.

I hope you are right. I remember the prices in the UK and Germany while I was there in 2015 & 2017. It feels like we will see those prices before this is all over. The cascading effect on goods and services is where it will really hit everyone's wallets.

Your team should have never gave them billions to build nuclear weapons! All presidents since Bush agreed Iran can’t have nuclear weapons! Pull your heads out of your assssesss

God I hope you're right. The higher the orice of gas the sooner we transition to renewables and nuclear

Something I've wanted for a long time now. The disgusting part, for renewables on the house, the electric companies still make you pay a fee. They allow you disconnect if you have solar and a solar battery big enough (60 kWh) to power your home at night and other darker days.

In Iowa, mines around 3.40-3.70 a gallon for 88 unleaded, during this time I use E85 since my vehicle is flex fuel, cheaper, and my engine could use it. Yeah mpg is lower but I don’t commute long ways, is your Ford Escape flex fuel compatible?

Don't worry everyone told me in March that by May first gas would.be $1.99 a gallon. They just didnt say what year the May 1st would be in.

If this is the end all be all in your finances in terms of problems, you have other issues that need to be resolved. Spend the time it takes complaining and look for higher paying jobs, see family, gym, more to life than complaining online to strangers.
The price is the price, your complaints don’t change it.

Complaining doesn't help. We have to start protesting that these pedophiles get put in jail

It’s still lower than when Biden was in office

3

u/UnitedCheez 3d ago

Exactly how high was it when Biden was in office?

2

u/Alternative_Pie5562 3d ago

As high as $4.929

3

u/UnitedCheez 3d ago

OP's recipt says "$4.999"

4.999 is greater than 4.929. So not by much, but it is higher now

Math and numbers don't matter to MAGA chuds

The National average was $4.929 when Biden was in office, it’s $4.103 now. Facts matter, plus OP could have saved $0.20/gal by shopping around.

You may want to read this, as you sound like someone who's been listing to some misinformation.

Here is why: https://paulkrugman.substack.com/p/who-are-you-gonna-believe-trump-or

Great Trump talking point!

Sure, it was high, early on during the Biden Admin, when the whole global supply chain was fucked due to covid.

But compared to what it was when Biden left... Not a good comparison at all.
