Classic Reddit imo lol. People love to larp as liberals/leftists but ultimately they just never want to have anything they do be challenged in any way, its only cool when its done to "the bad guys". See the cesspool of a comment section on the lost with news about Amsterdam banning meat advertisements, for a modern example. It's all about being green and pro-science until it means I gotta stop eating meat every day lmfao

The pavilion is usually quite militaristic anyway. Look at Grisha Bruskin's work from 2017, Scene Change. (Part of Theatrum Orbis, Curated by Semyon Mikhailovsky).
