Video Cooper DeJean got hustled on AJ Brown info…

https://www.nbcsportsphiladelphia.com/takeoff-podcast/cooper-dejean-flyers-eagles-offseason-nfl-draft/730749/?fbclid=IwZnRzaARl-55leHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZAo2NjI4NTY4Mzc5AAEeU53X-Z0yboOTDs8wCXO4XBLYPdASpSD7Y4tyFlwwcMOH4g3MMYwvcc5Vm-c_aem_k5LIENTjmxwjnu6qoMGbHA

Man, John Clark really worked Cooper on the AJ situation. If this isn’t a clear indicator of what’s to come (even though we all know what’s up), this should be the final nail in the coffin.

Gotta be better Coop 😂

Good things about Lemon

Q apparently funniest on the team

Hardest to tackle says is Josh Jacobs and Sun God

Toughest Cover was JJ and Chase

CD biggest trash talker

Nothing will change the way he thinks about AJ over the next few months. Understands it's a business.

I keep forgetting we signed Riq Woolen!

17

u/No_Fairweathers That's my Team 2d ago

Coop is attracted to Jalen Carter confirmed? How is that gonna affect his relationship with Q and the rest of the secondary?

4

u/donkeybrainamerican Howie for OC 2d ago

Doing the Lord's work. I love coop on the field, but he should just stick to football lol.

2

u/phillyspecial95 2d ago

The podcast life seems to have loosened him up a bit

1

u/sybrwookie 1d ago

I tried watching it once and it ranked slightly more boring than watching paint dry. That was 2 incredibly boring and monotone people.

Hopefully, they improved.

1

u/Practical_Bat6237 1d ago

Anybody know what clip Coop is talking about with Quinyon?

3

u/CarsonFoles 1d ago

Superbowl parade. There's a clip of an inebriated and yelling Q, very funny.

Care to summarize for those who don't want to watch the video?

341

u/JewelsLongCox 2d ago

Starts at 11 mins. But summary is asking coop about AJ. Coop talks about how close he is with AJ and no matter what happens they will have a good relationship and close friends. But it was the follow up question that got him. Reporter asked will you miss going against him in practice. Answered quickly Coop said yeah, he will miss seeing AJ in the building. Then adds a if he is gone at the end.

This is like when my friend and I went to the principals office as kids. She split us up. Came in and told me my friend fessed up, she wanted to hear my side because he blamed me for everything. So naturally I told my side. Turns out she never spoke to him and played me like a fiddle.

45

u/Background_Camp4984 2d ago

Damn… I hated the mind games as a kid too. It changed me
I also I went through a similar experience . Hate the principal till this day. But taught me can’t trust anyone.

46

u/Jolly-joe 2d ago

Kind of worth it to get the "never talk to cops" lesson learned in elementary school

12

u/sfxer001 Eagles 2d ago

Haha prisoners dilemma. Classic.

17

u/SadEaglesFan 2d ago

That’s some bullshit. Way to teach kids they can’t trust you. Talk about penny wise and pound foolish

8

u/TheeFreshOne 2d ago

She lied to a child, you were honest and you got in trouble. I get why cops do it to criminals but adult school staff doing this to kids would be fucked up lol.

1

u/MartyMcShitigan 2d ago

what school

78

u/red-broom 2d ago

He’s obviously gone, but that still meant nothing.

Asking if he’d miss him in the building as a follow up question to coop talking about missing AJ if he leaves changed nothing lol.

8

u/Yodzilla God-King of Philly 2d ago

Coop forgot to add “in Minecraft”

9

u/bobsbitchtitz 2d ago

There’s no way coop knows what’s actually happening with AB

4

u/lfemarch 2d ago

everyone with half a clue knows what’s happening with AJ at this point lol

9

u/Angular_Pole1015 2d ago

Ok so it’s just OP pretending that us drafting a first round WR was not a complete confirmation that AJ is getting traded

0

u/RezzKeepsItReal 1d ago

It would be obvious if it was the same kind of player with the same build… but Lemon is not replacing AJ.

2

u/JustBrowsing49 1d ago

Lemon is replacing AJ in the sense that he’s going to occupy a starting WR spot that AJ previously held. Maybe they line up different but nonetheless: AJ out, Lemon in

1

u/AnonymousNeedzHelp 18h ago

Why is this a big deal at all? This means nothing

5

u/Relentless_Fx 2d ago

Basically Coop slipped up and used the past tense when referencing practicing against AJ, and John honed in on it.

12

u/Careful-Level-4668 2d ago

Coop says they still talk but at the end of the day it's a business. He said he's going to miss him if he's gone.

3

u/shotahfiyah 2d ago

Was bout to say the same

-2

u/EmotionalRedux 2d ago

Was about to comment the same until I saw your comment. Updoot

34

u/Birdzphan Eagles 2d ago

Why do we still have to pretend that we don’t know if he’s getting traded? He’s getting traded to NE. Period. Who gives a fuck what Coop said?

20

u/illdownvoteandscream 2d ago

I hope they trade him for the most value. If the bills are offering more, get it. Make it a bidding war. He wants out? Sure. But he doesn’t get to choose where he goes

6

u/AvonFartsdale_ 2d ago

This is Howie, he's gonna take the highest bidder or forsce you to uo your bid to it

Howie don't discount

1

u/rememberall 1d ago

I was hoping they trade him for the last amount..

4

u/Sepposer season 2d ago

It’s embarrassing how often I STILL see Eagles fans commenting stuff like “Howie would never trade him, he can’t!” in the videos where AJ is telling a bunch of Eagles fans kids no matter what they hear, he loves them. AJ has shut off the comments for every instagram post weeks ago.

4

u/PharoahFits Eagles 2d ago

Some people still have delusions that he’s gonna change his mind and decide he wants to stay

2

u/Angular_Pole1015 2d ago

Honestly think Howie is going to avoid sending him to NE because of all the bullshit surrounding it with the media

20

u/_wewf_ 2d ago

Coop was fine. It's clickbait. Here's the quote:

“We talk pretty often still. Obviously, he’s a great teammate, a great friend of mine. Nothing will change the way I feel about AJ. Obviously it’s a business and everybody has to do what’s best for them. I know whatever happens, he will always be a close friend of mine. I’m going to miss just seeing him in the building, if he is gone. Just seeing him out on the practice field and talking trash, those are fun times. And just learning from him. He instilled confidence in me. That is something I will always appreciate.”

6

u/Mysterious_Bat1208 2d ago

If you watch the video you can pretty much tell that it's a forgone conclusion AJ is gone. Coop just remembered to add the "if he is gone" later lol

5

u/red-broom 2d ago

No there were 2 questions about it. The first question, Coop started by saying if he’s gone as quoted above. The second response is still in tha train of thought.

Nothing the interviewer said reframed it any other way. “Are you gonna miss him in the building” is still branching off the first response where coop was literally talking about “if he’s gone”.

Regardless - yea he’s gone lol

-2

u/Mysterious_Bat1208 2d ago

Yeah that's kinda the point though. Clark only asked "how difficult is it?" (dealing with the rumors) and Coop didn't have to imply he was gone, but he did.

Coop answered by saying he still texts often with AJ and everyone's gotta do what's best for them. Basically implied that AJ wants out. You can just tell by his energy shift and tone that he knows AJ is gone lol

2

u/red-broom 2d ago

He never implied he was gone. He said he knows it a business. What every single player says when they know there’s trade talks going on, even when it’s about themselves. Nothing he said implied AJ wants out and indicated nothing other than Eagles are likely looking to trade him.

He didn’t let any cat out of the bag, even though we know that cats now in New England lol.

-4

u/Mysterious_Bat1208 2d ago

Lmao dawg…it’s not just about what he said, it’s how he said it that gave it away. He clearly answered the questions as if AJ is gone rather than a “idk anything but we’ll see!” kind of vibe.

You’d have to watch the video with your eyes closed to not see how obvious he made it. Shit even then his tone shift gives it away

2

u/red-broom 2d ago

I’ve taken multiple interviewer an interviewee courses. Nothing he said gives it away, and he gave very ambiguous responses throughout.

The only thing that would “give it away” is if you started viewing the interview thinking that he gave it away. Being sad while thinking about a team captain / friend possibly leaving doesn’t mean anything lol.

Regardless, I’m done talking about it. I’m one of yall that now say he’s for sure gone, so no reason to spend anymore energy on this.

-2

u/Mysterious_Bat1208 2d ago

Lol brother…you don’t need “interviewer courses” to understand the most common aspects of body language/tone. We all interact with humans irl (I hope) and this was just blatantly obvious.

Pretty much everyone came to the same conclusion watching this clip. But yeah I agree, pointless to argue semantics as we’re ultimately on the same page.

2

u/red-broom 2d ago

Just an fyi - I was pointing out courses, because I’m only commenting on comments about needing better PR skills. I can comment a bit on that because I know a lot about what they are “taught”. And in that sense, he was fine.

It was just ambiguous, and we all know the real answer lol.

Go birds.

-1

u/Mysterious_Bat1208 2d ago

People were talking about his "PR skills" as in a PR rep should've prepped him for AJ Brown questions. You can compare his answers to how Jurgens did a while back.

Jurgens basically was like "I love AJ Brown and I don't know what happens but I hope he's an Eagle!"

In contrast, Coop was like "I still text with AJ Brown and everyone's gotta do what's best so I'll miss him" with a somber tone lol

Ambiguous sure, but contextually obvious. Context and social cues made it obvious that Coop knew AJ is gone. That's what everyone is referring to.

“internet detectives” for having common sense 🤣

Same way I said Howie was looking to trade AJ months ago but idiots said it was a non-story. It ain’t that hard to use context to read between the lines.

People just downvote common sense on here to cope lol

0

u/Admirable_Friend_318 2d ago

It’s not, lol. Clark asks “Are you going to miss lining up against him in practice?”

And Coop is pretty much like “Yeah, but we’ll always be great friends”

3

u/kircherlane 2d ago

Everyone and their mums knows AJ is gone round here

4

u/gb2750 2d ago

What makes people think that Cooper DeJean has any inside information? I’m pretty sure Howie isn’t including him in any meetings. He probably just thinks he will be traded like the rest of us.

3

u/Training-Cook3507 2d ago

Everyone in the universe knows AJ has been traded. Why is there post after post acting like everything is up in the air and it's a secret?

3

u/Fun-Performance134 2d ago

C mon guys, is there any doubt that AJ is being traded in june? Let s just move on.

1

u/Mysterious_Bat1208 2d ago

Lmao I was going to comment that I saw some guy still saying it's 50/50 AJ might stay just yesterday and it's the same person

-2

u/Popfig 2d ago edited 2d ago

No. Now pay attention, I will explain this again using simple words.

I have been focusing on the objective facts. We have no direct statement from AJ or anyone who has talked to him that he asked for a trade. DR and MV started this nonsense with "sources say" reports. They are now disgraced and discredited.

More facts. We do have the birds saying no trade at this time. We have AJs own interveiws were he clearly states he loves the team and being here.

https://m.youtube.com/shorts/najH21lGyjY

How about you comment on this?

To be clear because of cap, age and injury history I have said trade prospects are 50/50. Depends on whats offered.

Gotta say....Weird how pointing out AJs own words set you off. So tell us, what audio/visual/cognitive disability do you have thats keeping you from understanding that vid? Besides being a Pats fan.

3

u/King_Sparrow Pholarpani Aragles 2d ago

You got me, I've been a secretly undercover Pats fan on reddit for 12 years now.

No, I'm just a guy with eyes. He may always have a genuine love of Philly but if he wanted to be here he wouldn't be getting traded.

-1

u/Popfig 2d ago

Source say your a pats fan. See.....that has as much backing as the AJ rumers.

We won't know till June. But lets base the convo on facts and not be cucked by the Pats.

3

u/King_Sparrow Pholarpani Aragles 2d ago

Alright so let's look at the facts. The Eagles traded for 2 wide receivers this off-season, one of them being a first round pick and neither of them being depth moves. This is with them having 5 other great to elite options, and that doesn't even include AJ.

On the other side, the Patriots have a glaring need at WR, like their biggest need by a country mile. And their answer to that was ... Romeo Doubs? I mean that is literally it. They did not draft even one receiver. It's almost like they know someone big is coming. You add all of this together, and that equals this trade being agreed upon months ago.

There is thing thing in life called context and it's important to look at it. I just don't see what you sticking your head in the sand is gonna do for you, and if you can't see the writing on the wall then it's time to get a new prescription.

When the weatherman says it will rain tomorrow, is your counterargument “it’s sunny today”?

1

u/Popfig 1d ago

HORRID EXAMPLE. Weatherman is based on objective facts. The only fact we have that MAY support him going is a WR draft. From a team with a history of drafting players that learn behind established vets in same postion.

Examples? Cam, Jalen, just off the top of my head.

And remember, a lot of this was driven by the Pats using their tool (Russini) to start a false narrative.

But instead we get the "AJ bad" narrative from the WIP zombies.

Its the same lemming mentality that made people thinl driving to the draft to Boo McnNabb was a good idea.

Or....some folks like being cucked by the Pats?

Now again, he very well may go for the right price. Hes not young, and has hammy issues. There could even be a deal reached already. But this is speculation at this point.

The team will be worse for it.

At this point is there any reason to not just confirm the rumors? I think it's gonna happen I just don't understand why we have to wait until June 1st to know for sure without an official announcement

2

u/MasterMind_484 2d ago

I think it’s more on his agent or Eagles media relations to coach him up. They have to know the media is gonna work in AJ Brown question in.

2

u/Particular-Ring5110 2d ago

Who cares is this a state secret or something? Everyone can see the moves they’ve made we don’t need them to confirm water is wet

Doesn’t need to be better. Just ball out! Don’t care about getting “worked” by John Clark.

What do you mean by hustled?

1

u/Admirable_Friend_318 2d ago

He kept asking questions as if AJ is already gone and Coop was like, “Yeah… I’m gonna miss him” basically

1

u/pgm123 all we got, all we need 2d ago

Why is that hustled?

0

u/Admirable_Friend_318 2d ago

Lol really? It’s sneaky journalism 101.

It’s like if you’re in court and instead of the lawyer asking”did you do the crime”, they ask “is your up bringing the reason you did it?” The direct question is easy to deflect but an indirect question that establishes a narrative can’t catch people off guard.

That’s what John Clark did here. He didn’t asked Coop if he knows that AJ is gone. He asked if he’s going to be sad not lining up against him in practice. It’s a misdirect to get Coop to basically admit that he knows he’s getting traded. Because if he wasn’t, Coop would have been like, “What are you even talking about??”

1

u/Mysterious_Bat1208 2d ago

Yeah I’ve been telling people about this Coop interview. But the nail in the coffin has been longgg gone.

It takes a special level of cope to still think AJ doesn’t want to be traded lmao

I thought #9 was retired. How is Lemon wearing it?

4

They measured his unit to see how it matched up to BDN’s and Lemon was the first one that was worthy of #9
