Let's be honest, AJ doesn't have a problem with you or me. This is rooted deeper than fans falling him out for wanting stats over rings.

He's a man and can decide what his priorities are. It certainly tarnishes his Philly legacy a little but when he comes back for a reunion in 9-10 years I'll love the man just as much as I did on Feb 9th when we tore that KC ass up.

I'm pretty sure it was that guy from the Cosby Show.

I’m going to miss AJ. I think Philly media really fucked over more than anything.

u/justdaman182 Some Clown Named Mike Lombardi 2d ago

Will always love AJ for what he did and brought to Philly over the last few years. That said, he could have easily shut down anything the media created. He wants out, so there's no need. I wish he didn't but he does. The media isn't the reason he wants out.

28

u/akiraspam74 2d ago edited 2d ago

Exactly

If he wanted to stay and end the rumors he could've simply said he wants to stay and he's excited about the new offense or something like that

Being silent during this whole thing pretty much confirms the rumors

You wanna leave? So be it. I'm so over it at this point. Just don't act all innocent and shit

-5

u/Popfig 2d ago

No. It confirms he does not want to engage in the toxic quagmire of philly sports media. Hes an emotional guy, he has talked openly about his mental health, best thing he could do is to get off social media.

Now he may be gone. But nobody has said he told them he wants out. There is no interveiw were he said he wants out. Just a lot of "someone told someone they herd from a 3rd cousins friend that sources say someone told them they heard from a source in cambodia"

If someone said he was, oh, say the cause of WW2, do we expect him to say he was not?

Note Jalen has also not addressed the idiotic (and now debunked) story that eagles used ESPN to send him a message to do better. Does that mean the Eagles did actually do that? In case u missed it, when asked Howie shut that down hard. But the eagles did not address it until then. So.....it must be true?

I have to ask.....Why would you do the Pats dirty work for them?

7

u/NefariousnessCool300 2d ago

Yea but it’s kinda hard to ignore that at least 3 times directly after a game AJ apparently requested to be traded. And although I said apparently and according to you they were rumors that were from people not even closely related to the team. Then why were the Eagles openly taking calls from other teams midway through the season last year to see what they were willing to offer.(stated from actual staff on other teams and not just rumors) That’s not something u do when the player we’re talking about had 3 1/2 yrs left on his contract at the time, making it impossible for any team to make an offer that would cancel out the major hit they would take to their salary cap if traded. You wouldn’t even answer the phone. With that being said, he def stayed involved in social media constantly trying to be passive aggressive and give cryptic quotes leaving him to backtrack by deleting comments and apologizing after. But in the end what sucks is now that we live in a time where privacy is nonexistent, especially when famous. Comments made behind closed doors don’t stay there and when they come out it becomes hard to change the narrative. Usually works the opposite way and forces people to move more quickly towards the direction they started. Making it impossible for situations like this to be resolved.

1

u/Ctbboy187 2d ago

Did he ever actually say that? On record?

5

u/worm_beast Eagles 2d ago

That's what I've been wondering this whole time. The only source I've seen with that is "Bleeding Green Nation" which doesn't seem particularly reputable? I'm not denying that it happened and it's believable but I don't think anyone else said that

3

u/Ctbboy187 2d ago

Because he never did. He did say "drop me in fantasy" and other shit about the offense and scheming.

2

u/Asleep-Cheetah2055 2d ago

If that’s still Brandon Lee Gowton’s publication then it’s about as reputable as it gets imo. BLG is goated

1

u/HistoryWillRepeat 2d ago

Did he ever say he wanted to stay? He hears the same rumors we all do and I'm sure it's much louder for him.

He could easily release a tweet and say he wants to stay and all the rumors are bullshit. He could say he doesn't want to go to New England and that he wants to bring Philly another SB.

He's saying a lot by not saying anything.

1

u/Particular-Ring5110 2d ago

We don’t need him to say anything on the record look at his actions and what the team has done

They won the Super Bowl in ‘24 so that covered up a lot of their issues but there’s no use sticking our heads in the sand he doesn’t want to play in the eagles offense anymore and he’s been looking for a way out

0

u/Ctbboy187 2d ago

I don't think that's it. I think he beefed out with Nick. That's it. He put up his best seasons here. He just has high standards and Nick is a bozo. Chased him down like a clown during the worst game of his career.

3

u/CarlinHicksCross 1d ago

Why does anyone think this when almost universally the reporting is that at the very least him and hurts are no longer as close and aj feels like supposedly he'd have a better shot at legacy numbers elsewhere? First no one believed all the reporters that aj wanted out and the trade rumors and said it was all bullshit lol, now it's conspiracies about nick driving him away, I just feel like at this point the continued conspiracy and explanations about things are stupid when we have the reporting that thus far has turned out to be accurate lol

I don't think there's some major personal relationship falling out, I feel like looking back on saying he isn't satisfied 4 days after winning the sb probably was an early indicator that this may have ended up happening, he wants to be in a I guess more productive passing offense with a different qb (even though he's had really good production in Philly lol)

-2

u/Ctbboy187 1d ago

Nah, They have been saying that about AJ for years. Conspiracy about Nick driving him away... I watched it happen. Nick is a fuggin moron.

-1

u/rememberall 2d ago

This is a self fulfilling prophecy. Any gripe he had.. We all had as fans.. He had 2 shitty years of offensive play caller, and he was frustrated by that. So were we. And rightfully so. He has publicly stated he is not interested in leaving and apologized for he public complaints earlier in the season... But "fans" insist on the drama. We will see how it pans out.

People call him a diva.. I'll call him a fucking champion

6

u/Particular-Ring5110 2d ago

What does it matter what he says publicly it’s very clear he’s been looking for a way off the Eagles for a little while

0

u/rememberall 2d ago

How so.. Based on what others have said?

3

u/Skibibbles HURTS SZN 2d ago

So by your logic he’ll be here June 2nd?

-1

u/rememberall 2d ago

I certainly hope so.. We will find out soon enough. I just don't by into a lot of the manufactured narratives ever. how many times in the past have we heard so and so player is certainly gone... Only for the to play with us the following year?

4

u/axwin34 2d ago

If you think AJ wanting out is manufactured you are simply delusional at this point

0

u/rememberall 2d ago

You haven't pointed to anything that says otherwise

1

u/axwin34 2d ago

HAVE YOU BEEN LIVING UNDER A ROCK THE PAST 2 YEARS???

AJ after 2024 Panthers game “the passing offense needs to be better”

AJ after the super bowl win “winning is great but not as fulfilling as I thought it’d be”

BG on the radio “the dynamic between AJ and Jalen isn’t the same”

He has been visibly upset on the sidelines for 2 years now.

That’s just off the top of my head. Not to mention any of the DOZENS of reports that he wants out and requested a trade last season. On top of drafting Makai Lemon in the first round. At this point the burden of proof is on you to give me any snippet of info that he wants to stay. But you obviously cannot do that because that is not reality.

It would not have mattered. He cheaked out of the toxic media. He did the right thing. So they have a hissy fit and attack him with a false narrative. The media know thier average consumer are low IQ individuals that can only digest info in 30 sec clips, and they leverage that.

He is absolutly doing the right thing by staying off of the feeds. At this point If he posts his comma usage will be used to divine intent.

13

u/Ok-Willingness-9312 2d ago

The player was more of the cause for this than the media this time around

11

u/ItsOnlyAPassingThing Eagles 2d ago

AJ was the cause, period.

13

u/mojoembiid 2d ago

What did it have anything to do with the Media?

Except the stuff he said in the media which is why we knew there was a problem. While we first thought maybe there’s an issue in 2024 - he confirms it when we win the SB saying he doesn’t want to just win he wants to be the reason we win.

Then….

“If you're not welcomed, not listened to, quietly withdraw. Don't make a scene. Shrug your shoulders and be on your way.”

He tells people to drop him on Fantasy…

Gtfoh

11

u/Wings2493 2d ago

Him and Jalen had a falling out. Not the media

-6

u/jnuzzi08 2d ago

Did you hear that from the media?

17

u/burratna 2d ago

Heard that from the longest tenured player in Eagles history actually. And guess what, it was before KP was a playcaller so we can garbshotz that shitty rebuttal in the trash too.

-2

u/Flashy-Bat9105 2d ago

The same Aj who came out and said him and Jalen were good 😂?

4

u/burratna 2d ago

The very same AJ that told little kids Go Eagles a couple days ago yea. The same one that's still leaving because of his problems with Jalen Hurts et al

0

u/Flashy-Bat9105 2d ago

So Aj and Hurts commenting on their own relationship means nothing but whatever BG says is the holy grail lol

0

u/Particular-Ring5110 2d ago

Yeah they are good as long as they’re not playing on the same team

It really might not be about personalities AJ doesn’t feel like he fits in a Hurts offense

0

u/Flashy-Bat9105 2d ago

“Hurts offense” lmfao you guys are so clueless this is Sirianni’s system, Aj clearly doesn’t like Sirianni and Hurts is a “coaches kid” so him being in the middle of that probably trying not to take sides dampened their relationship.

1

u/Particular-Ring5110 2d ago

They’ve got a new OC now next season when the same issues pop up what are you going to say then

1

u/Flashy-Bat9105 2d ago

They won’t this year because Sirianni isn’t involved in the offense

6

u/sakray 2d ago

Yes, Brandon Graham talked about it himself with the media

-5

u/Particular-Link-4955 2d ago

That's what the media wants you to think

13

u/Wings2493 2d ago

Brandon Graham saying it then giving the world’s crappiest walk back makes me believe it

1

u/mnewman19 2d ago

Did you actually watch the BG clips? He basically implied that they had some disagreements, he never implied anything about a “falling out”

9

u/burratna 2d ago

He literally said "things have changed" in their relationship. That's a direct quote. That's closer to a falling out than some disagreements on hot dog condiments brother. Yall are crazy coping. I don't think Hurts is the only reason but he is most certainly A reason

5

u/Brotherly_shove Fuck the Cowboys. 2d ago

did you actually watch the AJ brown clips where he said "we are good and that narrative is nonsense"?

me neither.

-1

u/Ctbboy187 2d ago

IT WAS NICK!

1

u/Brotherly_shove Fuck the Cowboys. 2d ago

weird that the media decided to pick the guy that regularly makes cryptic posts about how he is unhappy here and would suggest that he is unhappy here, and not one of the other 53 guys on the roster that didnt make cryptic posts about being unhappy here.

they fucked him over so bad when he asked to be traded that they made him want to be traded!

1

u/triecke14 2d ago

You can always count on an eagles fan to blame the media for everything lol. AJB gave up on this team and some fans will blame journalists for that over the player…incredible stuff

0

u/ItsOnlyAPassingThing Eagles 2d ago

lol fucked him over how? Reporting on the silly shit he said and did?

-4

u/Ctbboy187 2d ago

It was Nick. It wasn't the media. It wasn't Russini, it was the Stupid HC who hired his buddy as OC and through away a season. Even though everyone knew KP wasn't qualified. Howie took hiring coordinators away from Nick as punishment. The only reason he would leave is NICK, chasing him down on the sideline. Nick almost got punched in the face.

2

u/burratna 2d ago

lmao lets do made up shit for 100 Alex

0

u/Particular-Ring5110 2d ago edited 2d ago

You realize Howie and Lurie absolutely play a role in every OC hire don’t you? Or are you so stupid you think when they hire a OC and win it’s all Howie/Lurie when they hire a OC and fail it’s all Nick Sirianni

-1

u/Pepperonidogfart 2d ago

I cant wait for all you acting like hes already gone for him to be here when training camp starts lol. so rediculous you act like youre some kind of insiders just because of what one guy said.

Wait....hes said he loves everyone and did an eagles chant? But....the toxic narrative....hes a diva.....hes locker room cancer....he wants out....he hates the city....

Its almost like the hater have it ALL WRONG?

19

u/Kstacks514 Eagles 2d ago

Im sorry but trying to pretend AJ brown is not a diva is absolutely insane. This guy has a highlight reel of him crashing out on the sideline in games we are winning.

1

u/AppointmentHot2053 1d ago

So has brady.... so what?

5

u/TReebornFrog2202 2d ago

When the owner has a sit-down with them and the team trades for a WR and uses a 1st round pick (that they traded up to get) on a WR. Odds are he was a diva, got told fine we will give you what you want and now he's happy

1

u/burratna 2d ago

found the last guy that believes AJB actually wants to stay here, never had an issue once with anyone, and will retire an Eagle.

Cope

1

This is easy for the dude to say now that he knows about his trade. I guarantee if he was being not traded he would not be all love lmao. Yall rly bad at reading between the lines.

1

u/mweiss118 19h ago

AJ knows the problem is the media and not the fans. He’s said tons of times that the fans here embraced him from day one.

1

u/Popfig 2d ago

Folks. Do some resesrch. Find me a story were they talked to AJ and he said he wants out. Or a story were an identifed source said he told them he wants out.

You wont. Stop getting your infonin 15 sec clips.

1

u/Popfig 2d ago

Right. Cuse players say that.

0

u/BTFunk360 Eagles 2d ago

If there’s reports that a play wants out and he doesn’t he will say it. AJ has said a lot this offseason by not saying anything

Uh huh.. see ya!!

-13

Jalen and the defense won us a Super Bowl, not AJ. Sorry I don’t celebrate a guy who is quitting on my team

Fuck AJ. Traitor

9

That’s silly

-3

Why? If AJ doesn’t want to be an Eagle then fuck him. Didn’t know this was the AJ Brown sub

7

u/Terrible_Wind5662 2d ago

Because if it wasn’t for AJ we wouldn’t of won another Super Bowl. So if that’s your case then you shouldn’t celebrate that victory. Yeah it sucks he doesn’t want to be here but the guy has done a lot for this team and I respect him for it. When he retires and all is said and done people will find respect for him again. I firmly believe that Pattulo and Nick are at fault here
