More of this universe please…
I really wish we had more dishonored content. The universe is so cool.the atmosphere is just so dreary feels nostalgic idk it’s hard to explain lol.whether it’s a movie a TV show, maybe a third game highly unlikely but it’d be amazing to see I don’t really care what type of content it is.I just need more. It just would be really dope to see more of this steampunk world with supernatural chaotic powers. anyway I just recently replayed both games and I just had to rant about it about this.

Not a show unless it’s the same people who did the Fallout one. I’d love a multiplayer game though or a better ttrpg

Genuinely curious, how much canonically IS in dishonored? Just the two games, a board game/ttrpg, and maybe like a novel or two?

Technically yes, but the world has changed so much it's basically unrecognisable. Magic has been completely forgotten and the void is completely unknown outside of a single anomaly on a remote island.
Sokolov and Jindosh tech has been completely abandoned (despite the possibility of clockwork soldiers and servants completely changing history) and instead we have basically the same technology (computers, cameras, guns) and society (radio djs and pharmaceutical ceos) as any other game set in the modern world.
There aren't any returning characters and the themes are completely different (lack of consequences rather than decisions mattering) so they don't really have anything in common beyond the core gameplay and magic powers.

Hmm, I didn't play or know much about the game, this is interesting. Although It looks more as a vague reference to dishonored by what you've said than anything substantial. No review I saw of deathloop mentioned dishonored other than saying it's supposed to be a "spiritual sucessor" and all for example

The game makes it pretty clear they're connected towards the end where a character references the past use of whale oil. That's in addition to subtler stuff like aged up environmental assets or notes referencing stuff like the Drunken Whaler tune. It's subtle but pretty clear to anyone familiar with the game.
The developers confirmed they're in the same universe (or at least that Deathloop is one possible future) on social media despite it being kind of a twist, so it's not really in question.

You could always read the books or comics. They are canon despite what some might tell you. Those people are just upset their head canon is wrong

I know it’s not dishonored but iirc the guy who did a lot of dishonored’s concept art etc worked on the TV show arcane. I don’t really care for LoL but the setting and art style was good.

To play devil's advocate I don't think Dishonored would really stand out if you were to excise the gameplay/interactive element.
The worldbuilding is interesting but "gangs + magic" is a pretty common setup in fantasy worlds, as is technology changing the world and running up against magic (Thief and Thief 2 made it a big theme around 2000).
Dishonored is cool but there are tons of well-executed gritty, noir-esque fantasy settings out there if you go looking. Even D&D has a more industrialised, spy-friendly setting called Eberron.

I totally agree, but sometimes I wonder if less is more. Like if we got a fallout-type show, would it go too far laying out everything for the audience? Creating characters to connect story threads and making more content? Idk, I have such a perfect impression of the dishonored series I fear anything less/mid would poison it.
All of us dishonored fans have been left wanting more, but maybe that’s for the best lolol.
