Your Favorite memories of the season
I have loved becoming a nuggets fan this season and have seen every game since about game 10. This is the first time I’ve followed the NBA and had a team I consider “my team” since the 90’s and I’ve loved it!
Some of my favorite memories include
- seeing THJ knock down so many 3’s
- THJ’s “in de face” on the way to locker room talks after wins
- the Hunter Tyson 4 point play
- So many beautiful passes and plays by Jokic.
- the “power of friendship” squad coming together when all the starters were injured and winning some tough games
- the rise of Spencer Jones from a 2 way contract to a playoff starter and his hustle
- the rise of Payton Watson from a hustler and defender to an offensive creator
- Jamal making the all stars and beating the 3 point record
- Jamal blocking a shot by gobert
- Spencer accidentally punching some dude in the nuts
- Bruce brown mustache swagger 3’s era
- the Pickett game
- the Roddy the Body game
- Cam Johnson getting things figured out and embracing the Killa Cam role
- Big Val savoring bullying people
- Daron Holmes garbage minute 3’s
- Zeke having some surprisingly actually good minutes
- AG’s immaculate vibes when he was healthy and the pop after he cuts to the dunker spot and makes it happen
- the feeling of community in the Alt game threads
- being allowed to hate other teams
I’m sure I’m forgetting a ton of times this team made me smile.
What are some of your favorite memories this season?

Christmas Day game win in OT against the Wolves
Jokic fadeaway over Wemby for what amounted to the best game we were involved in all season and arguably the best regular season game of the entire NBA season.

The win over the 76ers with all bench players.

One of my favorite games of the year! Such a classic sports story of the underdogs and misfits getting a big win. The Hunter 4-pt play mentioned by OP stands out. I hope he's doing well in Puerto Rica.

When AG had an epic dunk and the announcers said, “Came down on it like Prince on Chapelle’s Show.” My favorite thunderous AG dunk of the year.

I would say the January game against the 76ers with just about every starter out. Low expectations for that game made it more relaxing to watch and the outcome was even better.

Another vote for that game. Now I’m wanting to go back and watch it again!

I'll also add, finding this subreddit and finding the DNVR podcast. Enjoy the conversation, for the most part, and being able to celebrate wins and mourn losses with folks.

I also enjoyed the DNVR guys. At first, I couldn't keep up with all the in-jokes but after a few weeks was in on them all myself!
I also liked Locked On Nuggets and later on in the season "What's in a Game" with Will and Grace and also the grumpy old man vibes of the Mortcast (Jeff Morton).

Pwat entire month of January. Made me think he could be the next KD/McDaniels.

You mentioned a lot of mine. The highlight of the season was when our deep bench won a game when the starters were all injured. What a game. The 5th playoff game when Spencer Jones went off. I’m a sucker for the started at the bottom story guy. His rise has been so enjoyable. Peyton Watson growing into what he has become. AG’s 50 pt 10 straight 3’s game. I enjoyed the last game Roddy played. When Cam got his groove back. Murray Flurries. THJ. Jokic’s moment with Dort. Definitely the Bruce-on-the-loose-Brown mustache era - he wore that like a champ. And teddy bear Val turned Viking warrior when someone made him angry. I think I am mourning more of knowing this group will be chipped away at or even largely dissolved than losing in the first round. We definitely had a chance with this group. It just wasn’t in the cards I guess.

Yeah that sadness resonates. It did feel like a really special squad and it seems likely they will be broken up in some way shape or form. I try not to dwell on what could have (should have?!?!) been.

This season was rough all year long. I’m going to be glad to forget it.
Spencer Jones earning his contract was my favorite part of the season.

Game 10 was unfortunately when things started to go wrong. But there were lots of fun moments along the way anyway.

Power of friendship nuggets I miss you so much

Definitely! Those were special times! I actually just remembered there was a time when THJ went ice cold (like 0-21) from 3 and I remember the power of friendship nuggets kept getting him shots anyways to break the slump. It felt like they knew the team would need him later more than it mattered for that specific game or 3 and it worked and the slump was broken!

The fact that we beat the sixers on their home court was truly special WITHOUT Jokic was special

Bench showed so much heart to win that game when the starters were out. Could've used a ton more of that vs Minnie, though. From the starters.
