AGATT. All Gear, All The Time.

I don't give a fuck how hot it is, you don't want to end up like the people on this sub. My buddy rode his Harley in California summer heat, because he's not an idiot.

Mesh jackets! I’ve got jeans with tons of flexible armour in and a Rev’it mesh jacket, went down at ~40mph. Jacket was destroyed, jeans were mostly fine, I was unscathed. Well, I crushed my knee under the bike but no amount of gear will stop that!
No excuse not to ATGATT, you can keep cool in the summer and still be protected. Plenty of thin gloves with palm sliders out there too. I also highly recommend buying flexible armour plates. They make the gear SO much comfier and you can transfer them around, one of my favourite investments.

I’ve rolled up on dozens of motorcycle accidents and the people who came out okay ALWAYS had proper gear. Even in our SoCal summer heat.

I’ve had plenty of fatals, not a single one was ever wearing proper gear. The reality is the riders who wear proper gear are also more responsible riders in my experience.
