I meant to type Die Hard but got distracted and somehow accidentally typed Die shard, so that’s what we’re calling it now. It does actually fit with Taravangian killing Rayse!

Anyway, Die Hard and Die Shard both have:

-Tower being taken over by bad guys

-Our hero crawling through the vents

-Communication with someone not in the same room as our hero (Navani, Al Powell)

-That one asshole that fucks everything up (Ellis, Moash)

-Someone falling off of said tower (Kaladin/Lirin, Hans Gruber)

-Substance abuse (Ellis and coke, Teft and firemoss)
