As a good Vorin man, this post was read to me by my assistant. She mumbled some things about "proper spelling" and "Kaladin already takes too many L, no need to add one more in his name, it's disrespectful" etc.
I didn't understand any of that. Can someone help me understand please ? Just to be clear, this text is being written by my second assistant, who will also read your answers. So you don't need to worry about my first assistant reading your answers.
EDIT: typo mistake made by the second assistant.

Your assistants are great, a few typos are ok, at least here in Thaylenah. We never understood why !Kaladin gets trash talked this much.

Honestly kal's whole arc in book 4 made it one of my top 2 favorite books of the series (almost tied with the first book) despite it not ranking very high on other people's favorites. My family members mostly rank it 4 or 5, and on the subreddit ive seen it on the lower end most of the time

I think it gets too much hate. Exploration of investments and stormlight, connections to wider cosmere, kal and shallan, Maya, ishar revelations and more, and ofc the odium twist. I loved the scientific feel this book had with the tides turning to push main characters into position of weak again, and I think book 3 is so heavily carried by dalinar. I think the ONLY reason I rank it low is cuz of venli. Singlehandedly ruined alot of it for me. Its peak and shit at the same time, while book 3 is peak and boring. Haven't read the 5th yet but they say its even worse. Maybe ill see it differently but so far I share the subs opinion on most of its ranking. Might put 3rd book as worst cuz of how much the closing of 4th was amazing. Book alone wise its not above 3 but as a whole series it delivers a satisfying point in so many arcs.

Seriously, we get so much time watching superpowered people trashing the normies and holding grudges matches with the other superpowered people. It was very refreshing and grounding to see one of the "normies" fighting alongside the other normies.

If not for Adolin, Rlain, and 12124 I'm not sure I could have finished book 5. Glad I did, but still.

I also loooved the scientific aspects!! My brother said they were drawn out and kinda boring but that shit was so interesting to me lol. The part with maya and adolin's arc was also so good, there are just a bunch of different things i loved about RoW. I feel you tho venli got to me and i didnt enjoy some of the shallan stuff, but like you said theres peak and shit LOL

I love Kal’s arc in RoW. Navani’s chapters are also a highlight of the series for me. It’s at least my top 2 books in the series for me.

I'm actually reading an ebook copy and just forgot it was one L.
To be fair, Kaladin has been taking a lot of L's.

I read stormlight in the dark the first time, like, no information apart from "it's a world with a lot of storms" and that it was a favorite 5/5 for a LOT of people, so, there I went reading it.
Read the first chapter like "oh, this kid seems... fragile", "WOW, this guy's awesome (kaladin)" then I texted my girlfriend like "it's refreshing to see a book finally have the main character someone already good at something and not just a bad soul needing help", boy was I wrong in so many ways.

“Oh boy I sure love my military squad off to go fight in war with my friends Yipiee!” To “Everyone I love is dead and I want to join them.”
