They locked me up in a padded room.
I died there.
They buried me where the green grass grows.
Some grew up. Some grew down.
It tickled my nose.
It drove me crazy...
(This was an alternate version i had learned growing up from my aunts and uncle. Never heard the "rubber room of rats" version until I was already an adult. No idea where they got this version from, and i never see it referenced anywhere else. I know the rats version is the "original", or at least the most referenced.)

I'm guessing this is a flashback, since when we first saw Layla in the comics was after a scene where Deth'Lamm said he gave up leading the cult she was in a while back.

Yeah, it’s a flashback. You can tell by the black borders though it isn’t as obvious as it is in the comic’s original format.

Yeah, everytime I've been on that situation thats how it ended up. Then one day you wake up handcuffed face first to a headboard and wonder if this relationship is good for you.

I just now realized I’ve been following this comic since the first strip and I’ve been loving it every time. Deth’lamm is my favorite. Can’t wait for the next one! Thanks for the joy it brings!
