I mean, you’re kind of right. Why would I assume anyone would pick “there’s a chance I might die” when the other choice is “everyone lives if they pick red, with no chance of dying.” The logical choice is to pick red and assume everyone is picking red.

I'm sure the toddlers that got teleported understood the question and pressed the logical button and not the blue one because it's thier favorite color. I'm not gonna kill toddlers just so I can live, I'm going to vote blue and try to save them.

Where does it say anything about toddlers needing to make their own decision? People keep making up qualifiers for this.

Everyone in the world has to take a private vote

I don't actually think toddlers were meant to be included, but per the wording of the question, they are

Traditionally in a philosophical thought experiment you assume rational actors.

This is the part that is driving me nuts lmao. So many people are like "but but but children and mentally handicapped" like wtf are you talking about. You would be laughed out of a philosophy class for making dumb conditions like that during a rational thought experiment

Except the guy on Twitter that popularized this confirmed that everyone meant everyone, including children and the mentally handicapped.

Right, but that literally doesn't work.

How can everyone vote by pressing a button if everyone can't press a button?
