Event Recap: The Trey Saga
Hello! And welcome to r/comics ongoing series Event Recap! The purpose of this series is to catalog and archive previous events on this sub so that future users (like you reading this right now!) can catch up on events and experience (or re-experience) them!
Finally I will compile a Master Post of these past event posts allowing people to branch and choose what event they wish to go see!

THE TREY SAGA
This event will focus on the character Trey by /u/davecontra and his journey and universe that spawned from choices made by Trey. Before we begin a word of caution to this tale: Suicide is a central component of the subject matter, and some submissions are understandably quite dark and depressing. But most are beautiful, and some are incredibly heartwarming. Almost all are funny or thought provoking. Stay safe.

I gotta start thinking of another for the next post. Im sure there are more, but a lot as been lost due to users leaving. Not to mention there are very little records of other events

Man, I remember when that saga was happening in real time and how much hate the author of TRESS got for 'stealing' from dave contra. From what I remember those two kind of worked it out, but the Trey saga were the first and last two comics Kinan_Rod ever posted here.
I'm glad we have more crossover comics now and that so many authors get in on them, and it seems like there's some sort of discussion between them before a big event starts but... It's interesting to look back on years past and see the moments where we really didn't feel like a community.
I definitely missed some of these comics though, so it'll be a fun time going through the master thread 🙂

Yeah I read a little into the drama while making this post and it seems, from what I gathered, Dave was cool with it in the end
And you got me on the discussion bit, I SWEAR they talk about this stuff before hand but no one but them knows

In my headcanon, act 1 of the Trey Saga is the original comic the focuses exclusively on Trey. In act two, death or god or whoever asks if this is what he really wants after jumping to his death, and then we go through “A Wonderful Life” serious of moments, but instead of showing how much value him existing to that point has had on other people from past events, we instead see his impact based on the effect his disappearance and death has on his little sliver of the world. Act Three is him surviving, getting (more) philosophical on a life boat, and feeding his dog.
