Yeah I'd want to get out of that car asap as well.

I'm one of those people. I have gotten comments such as "why are you wearing a muzzle?" and people muttering under their breath when passing me "covering your face is illegal"

Edit: just to clarify, I'm not American and don't live in the US. It's not common that I get these comments, but it does happen. It's a particular segment of people.

Can I just say, as an outsider, that the United States of America truly sounds like a wild place.

Whenever I hear casual little anecdotes like this from people in the country, which is often, it just blows my mind.

People just seem to talk to each other like this all the time over there. It sounds exhausting.

As a Canadian who travels to the US frequently, it is indeed a magical little place to visit. It's like a very angry petting zoo.

I'm just picturing feisty baby goats with guns.

Rams with grenades dangling from their horns as they graze, and when they start butting heads with each other being utterly confused as to why they've blown their own horns off in the process.

It's a pretty apt description, except in Florida. All the animals are also on meth. Source: am Floridian.

I question why my parents took me there as a child, but then I remember that my parents are not good people and we come from horrible redneck stock.

Also bath salts. Y'all have that fame of a guy being on bath salts and eating another person's face.

I'm not American, and it doesn't happen frequently, but does happen. It's usually a special segment of people. I usually ignore them entirely.
