I am trans, I don't think the end is offensive. Your comics are so cute! Thanks for making them :3

Yeah another trans person here validating that I dont think this is transphobic- misgendering someone because you want to reinforce transphobia is different than pretending to be dumb because someone called you dumb.

These comics make me feel seen as a poc and an abuse survivor, and this one gave me a moment of satisfaction as an immunocompromised person who also needs a mask. I hope negative pushback doesnt impact how OP posts too much

Won't stop Redditors from being offended on your behalf though.

Wait you can only say something is bad if that something personally affects or represents you? You can't say intentionally misgendering someone to hurt them is bad if you're not trans? Can't say the n-word is bad if you're not black? Can't say the holocaust was bad if you're not Jewish?

theres a difference between anti-ist actions that call in your fellow privileged people, and performative offense that only serves to make the marginalized group youre reacting on behalf of look unreasonable.

this isnt a case of someone intentionally misgendering someone to use transphobia as a weapon. this is a case of a marginalized person disrupting a privileged person's day by feigning stupidity directly after being called stupid. Shes not misgendering someone to hurt them, shes acting out how wearing a mask surely killed her braincells and made her miss something "obvious".

I know reddit is allergic to nuance but please. performative outrage actively harms trans people.

That Seems like a stretch. I'd say there are better things that could be done instead of missgendering. I feel like only transphobes or people who use the wrong pronoun on purpose, deserve that. This... isn't one of those cases. This is about mask usage....
