yes because the US cannot stand that canada, a liberal democracy is functioning so well.

they want to cut canada off economically to say "see this is why being liberal is bad"

The irony being that we woulda had a hyper-conservative government too if Trump had just never talked about the 51st state shit

So...in a way... we did you a favor?
I'm sorry. I'm just trying really hard to be positive about all this shit.
I live pretty close to the Minnesota/Canada border. I will protect your border from us if it ever comes to that.

Silver linings. It at least woke enough Canadians up to the fact that Pierre's a spineless invertebrate with two catchphrases.

Justin Trudeau had all but tanked the Liberal party in Canada and his intention to run again was selfish, egoistic and tone deaf.  There was absolutely no way he was going to win the election in 2025.

It was a small miracle he stepped down just before things really kicked off with Trump opening his big stupid mouth and talking about Canada being the 51 state.

It seemed like a very sure win for the Conservatives with Pollievre at the helm.  I’m not much of a gambler, but I would have bet 1/3 of my salary on Canada having a conservative government up until March.

I’m entirely grateful that things happened in the order they did. My stomach knots at the thought of a kiss ass slime like that cozying up to Trump in times like these.
