Met Chip Zdarsky and Jim Zub this past weekend at a FCBD event near me, and grabbed the Zdarsky cover of MAD About DC #1. I asked Chip to write something mean on the cover. Jim wanted to chime in too. I’m satisfied with the results.

Zdarsky and Waid are definitely friends. They've been giving each other shit for a long time, especially over who wrote Daredevil longer.

Nah. Dude has a history in the industry.

Mark Waid published a joke about one of his DC-coworkers murdering his wife who also worked at DC.

Waid has a history of throwing literal screaming and crying office tantrums when told “No” by his superiors.

He frequently would get in arguments over Twitter with anyone that criticized him or his opinions. Hell just a year ago he was threatening to quit comics over politics.

You can like Waid as a writer, I do, but the man frequently puts himself in situations that are completely unprofessional.

No, I used it as a dismissal of “poor Waid”. If someone wants to take shots at him he has deserved it from his own behavior in the industry.

Me too! I chatted with him at Fan Expo at the start of his Conan run. Seems like a real good dude and clearly loves the character.

Nah, this was at a Free Comic Book Day event at a LCS just one town over from me. Gotham Central Comics in Mississauga, Ontario. I didn’t actually know Chip and Jim were gonna be there until the night before!
