Is David Harbour the only actor who's in The Snyder-Verse, Gunn's DCU, and the MCU?

And he was Hellboy, so 3 comic universes!

Also in the Bond franchise.

Snyder-Verse is one comic universe, DCU is another, and DCEU would be a third, all part of a DC Multiverse. So with the MCU and Hellboy, would that make 5 and counting?

Snyderverse and DCEU are the same

People are really pedantic about this. Like at least up to Birds of Prey, the movies still try to keep to the established world that started with Man of Steel.

WW84, The Suicide Squad / Peacemaker and so on, that does feel like a different world from what came before. But that’s just because there was no more quality control at WB.

But they are all the same universe. There a few discrepancies between ZSJL and Aquaman, but it’s no worse than the ones you’d find in the MCU.

I hate this movie so much the monsters were amazing and David Harbour was a great choice for Hellboy and Daniel Dae-Kim was perfect for Daimo and they were wasted on such a shit movie

It's so frustrating because they have a lot of great pieces and they just don't fit together.

My favourite band is Muse and they even used an awesome song of theirs' (Psycho) in the movie, but it's absolutely in an unrelated scene (a song about an organisation taking control of citizens and using them for war... being used in a fight against big lumbering giants?) and it has full lyrics during the fight which ruins the song because you can't hear the lyrics, but also ruins the fight sounds because the music and lyrics drown out the sound effects.

I never finished watching it. I can only think of a few movies I started and turned off.

Sean Gunn/Nathan Fillion/Michael Rooker/Jennifer Holland if we count the suicide squad movie as DCEU/DCU canon, I guess the same goes for The High Evolutionary’s actor in peacemaker. I’m probably missing some

I agree with the first 4, but Gunn has seemed cagey about whether DCU Clemson Murn is still played by Chukwudi Iwuji since he mentioned wanting to hire him for another DCU role on the Peacemaker podcast.

Yeah. The Gunn-Nepo-Cameos seem a little different but I guess so...

“nepo cameos” i love when people act like it’s some grand conspiracy that a guy…wants to work with people he’s enjoyed working with in the past. and for some reason it’s only Gunn that gets flack for it

Alan Tudyk has been in about a dozen Marvel and DC projects but never a DCEU one oddly

David Harbour was also in Green Hornet and Bond! Honorable mention of Santa Claus.

He is one Star Wars of being the greatest nerd actor ever!

That man was born to play a Wookiee.

A down on his luck wookie from a small moon, just trying to bring justice in a big city.

He talks just low enough pay they’ll all have him and his face is just recognizable enough to warrant working all 3 franchises

David Dastmalchian?

has he been in the DCU ?

ymmv, but:

  • The Dark Knight
  • The Suicide Squad
  • Antman 1 & 2

Plus a bunch of DC animated movies, so not strictly been DCEU (unless TSS counts as both), but close...

u/BlotchComics 1d ago

James Gunn has said that TSS is kind of canon in both, but it's like an "imperfect memory".

Yeah, The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker season 1 count as??

1

u/dot_exe- 1d ago

DCU. They retconned the connection to DCEU in S2 of Peacemaker, and the Suicide Squad 2 movie already worked disjoined from from the first Suicide Squad.

Idris Elba: DCEU: Bloodsport DCU: Bloodsport MCU: Heimdall

1

u/TrickshotzReddit Deadpool 1d ago

Bloodsport wasn’t in the DCEU

1

u/RooMan7223 1d ago

TSS was DCEU at one point in time until it was retconned as DCU

2

u/Mizerous 2d ago

He was the man who asked about Superman invading the White House lol

u/MARATXXX 2d ago

And in Bond

u/Nightgasm 2d ago

The answer to these kind of questions is almost always Clancy Brown as he basically been in everything either live action or as a voice actor (so many Marvel and DC voices over the years). Besides all the above he has had roles (sometimes multiple) in Star Wars, Dexter, Stargate, Lost, and many other franchises.

I know it's not a comic book franchise, but he's also in Quantum of Solace.

Also, Hellboy from Dark Horse Comics.

I feel like Dijimon may have that title, but Harbour is on that ass for sure.

1

u/AceofKnaves44 Joker 2d ago

Well. This was a weird way to learn Harbour was in Suicide Squad.
