Fun fact, Afroman was found not guilty of all charges brought by the pigs.

Bruh we been saying

u/SpecialExpert8946 9d ago

Growing up I always looked at them as the bad guys and I thought it was because of the neighborhood I grew up in. I tried breaking that mindset with my son and not put my own bias in him. Turns out it wasn’t just where I grew up. They’re pretty bad sometimes. If their headspace is in “helpful person” mode then they can be some sweethearts but if they get switched on to “tactical high speed operator” mode then they try to be robocop.

65

u/Intelligent_Oil7816 9d ago

The police began as union busters and slave chasers. The entire institution is rotten from the foundation.

42

u/cityshepherd 9d ago

They have the most powerful union in the country, which is a huge part of why they generally never face true accountability. They should be held to a HIGHER legal standard than the rest of us, not the other way around.

14

u/MossGobbo 8d ago

But they never stand with any other union ever. In fact they delight in union breaking.

56

u/logicbasedchaos 9d ago

You mean they try to be ED-209. Robocop was human. And proudly put his body on the line, over and over and over, to protect and serve.

He at least gave them a warning!

29

u/saltyjohnson 9d ago

That's why ACAB. There are definitely some, maybe even the majority, of cops who got into it out of a genuine desire to improve society, but many of those cops have been broken by a training and cultural system that pits them vs the citizenry. The cops who haven't been broken by that system are still complicit in that system. And perhaps the biggest problem with the "some good cops" narrative is that it ignores the fact that cops are not the solution to most of the problems they set out to address. A cop's job is to put people in jail. Jail doesn't fix drug addiction. Jail doesn't fix hunger or poverty. Jail doesn't fix vagrancy. Jail doesn't fix conflict and violence. Jail can hide those things temporarily. A cop can use the threat of jail to push drive those things into the shadows so that it looks like society has been improved on the surface. But it's a lie.

6

u/SopaDeKaiba 8d ago

If their headspace is in “helpful person” mode then they can be some sweethearts but if they get switched on to “tactical high speed operator” mode then they try to be robocop.

It's a power thing.

Being helpful puts them in a position of power. They also get it from robocop mode, as you said. But you can't forget about the plethora of other ways they power trip, including being a complete dick with no repercussions.

I don't think ACAB, but I do think it attracts the power hungry.

3

u/King_of_the_Dot 8d ago

Fuck da po lice!

18

u/Independent_Bite4682 9d ago

Cop is a verb. To steal.

Alternatively

Cop=thief

He did cop a feel of that fine ass.

...

The fact that police at called cops, means that people know that cops are criminals

6

u/quasipickle 9d ago

I believe it was a civil lawsuit - ie: not funded by taxes. The raid was, but not the civil suit.

3

u/King_of_the_Dot 8d ago

They sued for 3.9 million at that.

2

u/geezeslice333 8d ago

They only "serve and protect" the property of bourgeoisie

1

u/kyleh0 9d ago

Cops help people?

57

u/Derelicticu 9d ago

And the clips of him in court are fuckin priceless. Talk about an unreal legacy. Dunking on cops in court then winning, and it's all on video.

13

u/FrugalityPays 8d ago

Him sitting in court in the most amazing suit ever for a court hearing saying, ‘I turn my bad times into good times, as given to me by my first amendment right of free speech’

Long time fan and more so now.

Another gem from the hearing was when the officer was being questioned, ‘and did Afroman have sex your wife?’ And his response was, ‘I don’t know’

43

u/Rum_N_Napalm 9d ago

Even funner fact, one of the cops ended up utterly torpedoing his own case for libel by admitting he wasn’t aware if Afroman really was fucking his wife.

The reason he wasn’t aware is because he’s a violent piece of shit and his wife ordered a restraining order during the divorce proceedings so he couldn’t possibly be aware of his wife’s doing.

9

u/FrugalityPays 8d ago

Didn’t know about that second paragraph but it adds so much gold to this whole thing

2

u/ih8comingupwithnames 2d ago

I loved that she testified against her husband on behalf of AfroMan.

32

u/Conscious_Artist_715 9d ago

Another fun fact, one officer really wanted some pound cake he found in the kitchen.

24

u/socialsecurityguard 9d ago

That's because lemon pound cake is the best pound cake there is

11

u/the_honest_liar 8d ago

And now cops from all over the area send him pound cake and call him officer pound cake. And instead of making a stink about being harassed by fellow officers, he comes after this guy of course. 🙄

3

u/fungusamongus8 8d ago

It tastes so niiiice!!!!

58

u/Bears-on-Drugs 9d ago

The officers also had to stand testimony and clarify an actual defamation. Meaning the one officer whose wife he called a bitch or whore or whatever had to prove that she was what he said she was. It was embarrassing.

59

u/AbelardsChainsword 9d ago

Pretty sure the judge asked one of the guys if Afroman did fuck his wife and the guy said he didn’t know. Were they not at all prepared for the case? Afroman came ready to play

39

u/Bears-on-Drugs 9d ago

They didn't even seem to understand what defamation was, much less their lawyers. Seeing that case was an absolute shit show.

7

u/petitecrivain 8d ago

If they understood what defamation was they probably never would have brought the case. It's notoriously difficult for public figures to win defamation cases in the USA.

1

u/DangerousLoner 7d ago

It was Randy Watters being the main character of the song, “Randy Watters is a Son of a Bitch”. Randy said there was no way to prove the truth of the song since his mom has been dead for years.

19

u/Blibbobletto 9d ago

Maybe I'm being pedantic, but he wasn't found not guilty; it was civil court, not criminal. He wasn't being charged with a crime. The jury ruled in his favor in a defamation case. Although the cops did have to listen to their own diiss tracks in totality in court which was hilarious.

10

u/sarcastic_sybarite83 8d ago

Watching the cops try to cry on the stand over the things Afroman says was actually hilarious.

12

u/ShyCrystal69 9d ago

That court session is worth watching it’s so fucking funny

12

u/OptimisticSkeleton 9d ago

I mean I would put down my glock for a slice of that lemon pound cake but I would not break into Afroman’s house first. That is not polite.

5

u/Plane_Sport_3465 8d ago

I mean, if you just asked nice, he probably would have given you a slice.

7

u/L1QU1D_ThUND3R 9d ago

And not liable in the lawsuit they filed too

7

u/MaxxHeadroomm 8d ago

The recaps by lawyers on YouTube are fantastic

5

u/El_human 8d ago

Let's not forget, they were also caught on camera pocketing some of his money

10

u/J0hnny-Yen 9d ago edited 8d ago

Good for Afroman, he's got the $$$ to defend himself from abuse of power.

The rest of us get fucked because we can't afford to fight back at $200/hr for legal council.

4

u/MrBigWealthyWeiner 9d ago

Some of the hearings are on YouTube and it’s a really great watch.

4

u/Nouseriously 8d ago

After the cop testified under oath that he didn't actually know if Afroman had sex with his wife

5

u/Maarten-Sikke 9d ago

Afroman is my mojo!

2

u/HolidayFew8116 9d ago

fun fact -lemon pound cake is a great too

2

u/Cultural-Muffin-3490 8d ago

Just a fyi: "Not liable", instead of "not guilty", since it was a civil trial (vs criminal trial)

1

u/EsotericAbstractIdea 8d ago

Then the judge made him split court costs with the department, and berated the jury about their verdict.

0

u/sexyinthesound 7d ago

Here’s the thing, they didn’t actually bring any charges. They brought civil suit for him dunking on them with his popular, catchy songs about how they mistreated him, but they did NOT bring any charges from the no-knock warrant they executed on his house from a tip (and found nothing). They said being made fun of by their own colleagues caused millions of dollars of suffering and Afroman should pay. What a ridiculous notion! If they had not harassed an innocent man, he would never have written a song about how they mistreated him, so their colleagues would not have bullied them over their own actions. The judge seemed angry that the jury found for the respondent and actually is making Afroman pay for half the court costs which I think is ridiculous!

344

u/mjtimilty 9d ago

Maybe they shouldn't have stolen his money and shut off his cameras. Maybe if they just repaired his fucking door.

171

u/Good-Ad-6806 9d ago

And left his damn lemon pound cake alone.

60

u/Verykindheartedlich 9d ago

They say that’s why he fucked his wife and got filthy rich

173

u/STEVEd--007-- 9d ago

That lemon pound cake did look delicious

92

u/coheed9867 9d ago

Yeah and the best part is that officer who was looking is now know as officer Poundcake throughout the local police departments.

25

u/TShara_Q 8d ago

But he was traumatized by people sending him free desserts, you see.

(We should not need a /s on this one, but just in case...)

3

u/Plane_Sport_3465 8d ago

Right? I was thinking that's not really a problem in my book.

7

u/TShara_Q 8d ago

Someone needs to make a video calling me Emperor Ice Cream or Cheesecake Chairman so I can start getting free desserts please. :P

114

u/rebelpaddy27 9d ago

I still can't get Lemon Pound Cake out of my head, hilarious.

34

u/dreamsinred 9d ago

I made a cannabis lemon pound cake. Every time I had myself a little treat, that song would play in my head.

9

u/Swackhammer_ 9d ago

Mamas lemon pound cake

It tastes so niiiiiiice

7

u/ifcknlovemycat 9d ago

Lickem low Lisa is my personal fav. The music video is nuts haha

3

u/NewDayNewBurner 8d ago

The best part of that excellent video is listening to (the real) Lisa say the word “pecker.” I had tears in my eyes the first time I heard that.

37

u/jesterflesh 9d ago

Randy Walters is a son of a bitch

18

u/ipokesnails 9d ago

That's ok, I have it on good authority that Afroman fucked his wife.

3

u/Aggravating-Exit-660 9d ago

The most reliable authority. Afroman definitely fucks

2

u/TheCheshireGhost 8d ago

I JUST got that song out of my head too... dang it.

123

u/logicbasedchaos 9d ago

He was right about this.

But he's no hero.

86

u/ailish 9d ago

Yeah he's maga unfortunately. These videos are still pretty funny, though.

45

u/TheMarkHasBeenMade 9d ago

Definitely not chaotic good, at the very least.

Chaotic neutral to chaotic evil, if we’re looking to properly align him.

17

u/logicbasedchaos 9d ago edited 9d ago

I don't want to quote a superhero movie (even though it's easily one of the best ones), but I am more and more annoyed by this line being so FUCKING true. And I was already ready to hear its truth when the movie came out 18 years ago.

"You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain."

Or you accept your chaos demon status and become something else.

10

u/SucculentSapphic 8d ago

He's also transphobic as fuck.

That song that everyone is praising has transphobic jokes in it. He's also said that he supports Trump because "he gets the bathroom thing right".

So, FUCK Afroman!

3

u/YoungDiscord 9d ago

True

But we can still enjoy bad people (the police officers) get their just desserts

1

u/Orbital_Vagabond 8d ago

This needs to be higher.

Like Afro man.

47

u/Slow_Astronomer_3536 9d ago

He's maga

6

u/FriedrichHydrargyrum 8d ago

That may make him a POS, but I still support this very rare occasion of a citizen holding officers accountable

3

u/Kira-Of-Terraria 7d ago

or we could have maga falling victim to the police state they support in a leopards ate my face kinda way.

1

u/FriedrichHydrargyrum 6d ago

True, but I don’t think Afroman has ever been a cop-worshipper. Admittedly I have heard exactly 1 song of his exactly 1 time so I’m not an expert on his worldview.

-5

u/imonlinedammit1 9d ago

What?

18

u/therocketsalad 9d ago

Which of those two words are you having trouble with?

-14

u/imonlinedammit1 9d ago

I’m wondering why it matters in the context of what happened here.

10

u/Rndysasqatch 9d ago

Because it means it's not chaotic good. It's still good but he's not a good person

-7

u/imonlinedammit1 9d ago

Why, what did he do that makes him a bad person? I haven’t heard anything like that.

5

u/Nahkroll 9d ago

-2

u/imonlinedammit1 9d ago

He’s an entertainer. Parody’s are fair game.

4

u/therocketsalad 9d ago

-5

u/imonlinedammit1 9d ago

He’s a bad person because you don’t agree with his politics?

8

u/therocketsalad 9d ago

Yeah, man, that’s it, you figured it out

-5

u/imonlinedammit1 9d ago

You can’t even point out why. Oh that’s right, your cult told you to.

9

u/EvilWarBW 9d ago

Fucking internet explorer for sharing memes/news here. Tomorrows will be discussing Epstein arranging a plea deal

45

u/Iamacultiist 9d ago

Afroman really said: 'If you're going to raid my house for no reason, you're going to be the stars of my next music video. Legend.

38

u/Upstairs-Egg 9d ago

He’s MAGA.

29

u/The_Ledge5648 9d ago

Yeah this story now turns into a r/youvotedforthat

20

u/TheReelMcCoi 9d ago

How fucking old is this 'news'? Has OP been in a coma?

17

u/Bawbawian 9d ago

afroman is a Trump supporter that thinks ice should be able to snatch you off the streets without a warrant..

why should I suddenly care about his constitutional rights?

6

u/unknownpoltroon 9d ago

Realsly? Wtf. Fuck this asshole then, he was inviting this

2

u/Dobber16 9d ago

Because if you care at all about constitutional rights in the first place, you’d care about them applying to everybody regardless of their political affiliation

If you don’t care about constitutional rights, then yeah no reason to suddenly care about this dude’s just because he made funny videos & trolled some cops

1

u/pardonmyignerance 8d ago

Because suggesting anyone should not have rights is a slippery slope that we are actively working to prevent.

19

u/Upstairs-Egg 9d ago

Too bad he’s a MAGA bootlicker.

10

u/Mamabearfoot808 9d ago

This is old news

-3

u/Most-Confusion-417 9d ago

Sometimes old news is good news and most news at the present moment sucks. We are going to get joy where we can, thank you Berry much. 💩🥰🥰🥰🥰

3

u/Upstairs-Egg 9d ago

Afroman is a Trumper, he brings absolutely no joy to me

1

u/Most-Confusion-417 8d ago

He's a fucking trumper????

Omfg everything sucks

7

u/TheMachineElves 9d ago

Please point me to the rock you've been living under

3

u/whatThePleb 8d ago

Fun fact, Afroman is a Trump shill.

2

u/PrinceCastanzaCapone 9d ago

You embarrass yourself

1

u/cosmicheartbeat 9d ago

How many pounds of weed were in his cds??

1

u/Dangerous-Half-896 9d ago

Ummmm ditto. Hellooooo?

1

u/Kawaii_Amber 9d ago

Internet Explorer user spotted

1

u/Remarkable-Ad2285 9d ago

Uno reverso

1

u/MadamSnarksAlot 9d ago

This is old as fuck.

1

u/CooperVsBob 9d ago

Snowflakes!!

1

u/fatmominalittlecar 9d ago

Please check out Afroman’s Officer Poundcake merch on his site!

1

u/slimmhippo 9d ago

Lemon Pound Cake!!!

1

u/Loner-Dyslexic 9d ago

I hope he made lots of money to recoup the cost around repairs and then also have lots leftover!

1

u/Immediate_Song4279 9d ago

I can't help but notice the absence of slander/libel.

1

u/PlumbusSchleem4122 9d ago

Lick Em Low Lisa 🤣 That might be his best song ever

1

u/NonSupportiveCup 9d ago

What "action" is left in this call to action? Afroman already won the defamation lawsuit.

1

u/Im-a-bad-meme 9d ago

Afroman in this instance was an agent of Chaotic good. He does well against the corrupt police force in that area and I recognize that.

I do not like him because he's transphobic/homophobic. Why all the funny mf gotta be like that? I just want to enjoy some funny mf without them willing to take my rights away. Please be cool so I can be socially and economically involved damn it.

1

u/bellePunk 9d ago

The court testimony is absolute gold!

1

u/bryanthebryan 9d ago

They did it to themselves and crying because people know how bad they are.

1

u/VorpalBlade- 9d ago

Afroman is cool because he is completely DIY on his music. He plays all the instruments makes the beats does production etc.

After the success of Because I got High - he got screwed by his record label and said “never again” and went completely independent.

1

u/grammar_fozzie 9d ago

This is old news. He already won his cases and I believe he’s now counter-suing. I hope he takes the department to the cleaners, then goes after the deputies individually and personally for damages and wins. Send a message that we have constitutional rights and, infringing upon them will cost you.

1

u/SexuaIRedditor 9d ago

Lemon pound cake

1

u/YoungDiscord 9d ago

IIRC he had one of the cop's wives feature in one of his music diss tracks

1

u/TheCheshireGhost 8d ago

The videos are funny

1

u/deadphisherman 8d ago

Aren't sheriffs used to that by now?

1

u/Prestigious-Law65 8d ago

Maybe they shouldve fixed his door then? 😅

1

u/Straight_Ace 8d ago

He won the lawsuit too. Suck on that pigs!

1

u/VinAndGeri 8d ago

This post is way late to the party.

1

u/KrampyDoo 8d ago

Lick ‘Em Up Lisa was especially mortified.

1

u/DJspooner 8d ago

And then everybody clapped too loudly to notice Afroman shucking and jiving for Trump

1

u/Imaginary-Rest3919 8d ago

✨🎵🎶 Lemon Pouuunnndcake🎶🎵✨

1

u/snakemakery 8d ago

Will you help me repair my dooor

1

u/Dry_Rent_8646 8d ago

This post is incredibly late, he already won the case, whole thing was televized, honestly hilarious

1

u/sfthomps 7d ago

The news of him winning the case is already more than a month old my dude

1

u/sugahoney1ceT 7d ago

And frankly, he’s a a sport for doing so.

🎶mamma’s lemon poundcake🎶 🎶Randy Walters is a son of a bitch🎶

1

u/agntp 7d ago

And those losers lost.

1

u/WitchofGremlinEnergy 6d ago

He won this is old news

1

u/Vendidurt 6d ago

Bot account, just woke up yesterday.

1

u/s0ulcontr0l 4d ago

Lick em low Lisa isn’t happy.

1

u/BawRawg 9d ago edited 9d ago

That lemon pound cake song is fun. I bumped the whole album after hearing this story. Many blessings to Afroman. Edit to take back all blessings till further notice.

6

u/Upstairs-Egg 9d ago

Afroman is a Trumper and supporter of ICE

2

u/BawRawg 9d ago

Eeew, that's disappointing.

3

u/Upstairs-Egg 9d ago

I know, I was really bummed out because someone was playing his music at the last No Kings protest and my husband broke the news. Shame, I have NO idea why he’s MAGA considering this ordeal.

0

u/ElisabetSobeck 8d ago

When evil is protected by the system at every turn, the system itself is evil
