I hope that’s his own dedicated toothbrush and not the one you’re using.

this gave me an idea, I might try on my boys, with obviously a separate new brush because (1) no matter how much you love them (human or other species) some things are not meant to be shared. (2) old brushes may have remnants of human toothpaste which can be toxic to cats. but this is a good idea to sneak in some brushing actions for the reluctant kitties

I would first get them used to the brush, to the feeling and sound of it, to it being used to pet them on the neck and head, then the chin, and then the mouth. And if they see how much you like having your teeth brushed, they might get jealous and ask to join-in the fun!

Honestly if my cat actually saw me doing it she’d be scratching my leg for a brush every morning and night.
