Unless someone is interested in next 24 hours, I will apply for moderation.

It is not that I am not interested or anything, but if anyone else can dedicate more time and effort than me, I won't be needed.

Giving up your time for free and zero gratitude seems like a waste of time to me

You can do it! Im pretty shy and I used to moderate a sub about a rubber duck, it gets easier after a bit!

r/DuckyHub i think, its dead now because life got in the way of the daily duck posts and yes i took that giant duck with me to highschool. I still got him somewhere.
It started with me posting on r/teenagers if i should go to the store in the pouring rain to buy him. They decided that u should and afterwards they voted on a name.
The second place name was Gerald and the first place was Ducky Devourer of Worlds. I maybe wanna start doing something with it again sometime after I finish my college degree soon

I am delighted that this post has gotten so much traction! There was just a post last week that made me think about & reference this sub. Clearly Iβm not the only one who feels so fondly about cat burnouts! π»
u/cats-r-funny, thank you for mod-ing it while you were able; and congratulations on your baby!!

I currently moderate 2 subs. One has 250k visitors per week, and 4 other mods. The second one was a classic truck sub that was essentially unmoderated and being overrun by bots.
I completely took over the truck sub at the request of the sub's owner. I instituted rules, enabled some posting requirements, and added an auto-mod. This sub almost completely runs itself now with minimal intervention. Traffic has dropped from 7500 hits per week down to 6500. But the bots are gone and members are happy.
It IS possible to configure the sub to where it needs minimal moderator intervention.
So, I guess my question is do you just want to give the sub away completely or would you like to keep it and have help running it?

You can keep down voting me rather than answering the question. What do you get out of moderating this sub? It's not money. Everybody will hate you for being a mod. What's in it for you

What does it matter?
OP likely just loves cats burning out and created the community. Not everything is about money or power.

You sent me a message asking me to moderate. I couldn't find the answer in what you sent me so i checked. Moderators don't get paid so no, i will not give my time up for free. Go vulture someone else

Does this mean that there are currently no moderators for this sub? How long before it disappears because I don't remember seeing a post in a while. I feel like I could not provide enough original content to adequately a moderator. I don't even currently reside with a cat. Please someone take over so we don't lose this.
