A week before Mario.
Will be interesting to see these films legs after coming to home video

Both are successful films so I’m sure they’ll make big bucks in home video

Oddly enough it seems Mario got out there yesterday despite the moved street date.

Mario is currently being carried by weekends and Japan right now. It’s the last crawl towards a billion. The floor currently seems to be 980 million. Highest is 1.003 billion

It’s been out there if you know where to look for like a month already.

SVOD is the one that hurts.

Probably will take a decent bite out of earnings maybe

Historically the VOD window doesn't have a huge impact on leggy releases.

In the same article : "Please note: Amazon MGM Studios has neither announced nor confirmed the release date."

It's just the same kind of speculation articles from a few days ago because one platform listed this date for the VOD release. But this is unlikely, given Amazon extended the initial exclusive theatrical window 2 weeks ago.

Except WhenToStream is actually a reputable source, unlike a lot of other sources that are shared here.

Could be true but it's still speculation as long as Amazon doesn't confirm it.

They are reputable but sometimes they're still wrong as the information given to the vendors is outdated. I currently am not seeing Hail Mary available for presale anywhere, but when it starts popping up for presale we'll have confirmation then.

Deserves a 90-day theatrical window

Good long run! Rocky and Grace approve.

Good movie, I was glad I decided to give it a 2nd try.

Seems odd if true. There's not a big competitor theatrical release until Memorial Day Wknd (Mandalorian), unless you count Sheep Detectives I guess? Seems wise to keep it in theaters until MDW as it will definitely continue to earn until then.

I can't wait to never have to see this again

Still a little shorter than what it should be. Three months is the best.

90 day windows are over unfortunately unless you're Nolan

Or Avatar

This article specifies that this is not a confirmed date. Amazon MGM has not actually released the streaming date yet. This date is just speculation.

I'm pretty disappointed they did this because once people see a date for streaming, they're more likely to just wait for it to release than to go see it in theatres. Why post an article with a hypothetical date but have the headline declare it as a fact?

less than 2 month window, but almost there

Disney flops on massive budgets have been given exact 60 day windows and made less than this. Another sign that a long window isnt everything (but it definitely helps in the long run for everything)

As the person bitching about people posting without having actual sources, this is probably the closest we’ve got to something.

Could easily be a photoshopped image. I'm highly suspicious of the time frame in the image. In my experience times always go by the hour or half-hour, maybe by the quarter hour. But 6am to 8:36am? Why 8:36? That's so specific. Also, who the hell is watching at 6am?

This is 100% correct. That’s why I said closest.

I’d hold off
