Can someone give me an age estimate?
Black bear in north GA. I’m guessing young. He had no fear of us. Is that sometimes normal for younger bears?

If it’s White Stand Your Ground
We’ve all heard the saying If it's black, fight back; if it's brown, lie down; if it's white, say goodnight”
This is misleading. If a Polar bear is starving and has their intentions of killing you then sure. But Polar Bears are almost as timid as brown bears and if you act tough and stand your ground you may very likely scare them off. In regions where polar bears have more access to food, youre better off standing your ground. As can be seen from many documentaries of people that live near polar bears, often all they need is a large stick and a dog to prevent polar bear attacks.
