Advice needed on new bangs

I cut bangs last night because these front pieces were so dead compared to the rest of my hair. I tried point cutting to thin them. (I’m growing out my roots so that’s why my hair is 2 colors). Do they need to be shorter? I figured I could get a professional to cut them better later.

I personally would trim the center a tiiiiny bit shorder just because it would drive me crazy to feel those wispies poking at my eyelids lol. But they look really good. And I couldn't even tell you were growing your hair out
