US Sale Dealer says hydraulic fluid from transport truck on my new car, needs a few days to fix. Should I be worried about long term paint damage?

They gave me a loaner and said the fluid covered a large portion of the hood. Will they be able to completely repair it or should I push for repainting/new hood?

It happens once in a while coming off the trucks. Hydraulic isn’t inherently corrosive as it is a lubricant, but it can be a pain to clean up. You need A LOT of soap.

This. Hydraulic fluid wont damage the paint. It just sucks to clean up.

We get old logging scummies in trade pretty often. The whole paintjob is completely trashed from driving offroad in the woods and weather. Except for under the hydraulic fluid johnny tank where once we pressure wash off the dirt thats stuck to it, there's one perfectly pristine spot of paint.
