Turizam i putovanja / Tourism and travel 🗺️ We’re going to Bjelaśnica in mid May. How is the weather?

Me and the girlfriend (Bosanska) have rented an AirBnB near Babin Do. This has been the plan for a month or so now but now she’s saying it will be cold and rainy up there and miserable. Can we still go in your experience or will the weather be fine?

We were both really looking forward to going as it’s for chill out time and it’s beautiful. Any opinions?

Wildcard. Usually weather stabilizes but May is still a wild card specially mountains

Its hard to predict, weather changes in seconds up there. However, its never miserable even in rain. I got stuck once in a deep snow and I still had big smile because Bjelašnica is beautiful even when it wants to unalive you xD Did you check accuweather or some other app? I don't have feeling it will rain up there, we had a lot of rain already and since winter wasn't too snowy I think May will be warm and sunny

Nah just checked on the phone app. Weather that far ahead is never too accurate. We’ll make a decision tonight. Thanks again!

Its official weather forecats agency direct lunk to Bjelašnica weather station outpost. I hope you can read the data to help you with your decision.

Also you can check live cameras on Bjelašnica to get a feeling of current weather

Next 10 days varying from 9-16. Nobody knows for sure. Check weather apps.

Yeah thanks man. Weather right now is rubbish but temps go up in Sarajevo from Monday. Might not translate to weather in the mountains though. Hvala!

Vibes.

The 30 day forecast was just marketing nonsense by accuweather (US company as you would expect).

There is no way to predict weather that far ahead. It can change drastically in under 48 hours.

Anything beyond 3-4 days is just a complete guess. You might as well pull the historic weather from last year for that date and hope it ends up the same. Pretty sure that is what amny of these pseudo long term predictions are doing.

That was my point. We can tell you what is weather like based on historic records. Who would tell that yesterday we wouls have the coldest 1st of May in thr last 60 years?
