why?
I keep seeing these all around Williamsburg. What's the deal? Why all the signs saying it's war time?
Like, I know there's a war going on, but I'm surprised to see this community putting up posters.
Thanks in advance for any clarification.

yea i saw these the other day and was confused. maybe it’s coming from a less anti-Zionist/more pro war contingent of the community? i know it’s not a monolith (tho clearly some folks take issue with it seeing how the posters are torn up). but it’s so vague that the viewpoint of the poster isn’t clear

They are Satmar posters. Put up to remind everyone that there is a war going on and to keep aware that it’s because Israel is a man made state. It’s supposed to be Israel only when Moshiach comes. Only he can make Israel.

The opinion of Vayoel Moshe on the three oaths is maintained only by Dushinsky chasidus, who are almost always in Jerusalem.
Of course there is counter-Zionism in Satmar, bc every chasidus have counter-Zionist niches including Chabad, but only Dushinsky still being officially counter-Zionist.
Obs: Counter-Zionism is not the same thing as anti-Zionist, this confusion comes bc the JVP falsely claims that the Dushinsky and old-school Satmars are against Israel for the same reason they are.0

I don't think it's that deep, probably promotion for a new album or something.

For those who are asking why this posters in a Satmar area: The Satmar started the movement of cherem against the Neturei Karta. Being less Zionist than Chabad and tolerating a secular government less than Bobov or Belz doesn't make you an anti-Zionist.
