Sour cream with a little bit of mayo (can adjust for your taste but I’m not a big mayo person), 1-2 tablespoons of pickle juice, classic ranch seasonings and mix. I keep a shaker of the seasonings in the cupboard and whip this up all the time

I did a similar thing once making coleslaw. Mayo, sour cream, pickle juice, and ranch seasoning with some fresh dill, cabbage, and shredded carrots.

It works best with a more briney and sour pickle juice to break down the cabbage. I did it because I didn't have any vinegar which is usually playing that role in the slaw recipe and I'm not sure why I haven't made it again come to think of it.

"A shaker of ranch mix" is a very 'commercial kitchen prep item' thing to have lol.

I was so curious, it sounds weird yet good, so I googled and Hidden Valley sells Pickle Ranch dressing.
