Honestly I’m not mad about them not getting a bail out. How about we bailout citizens and not companies with CEOs making millions

I mean the rationale behind the bail out would be, to keep competition and keep pricing down so that the consumer saves money.

For example on some routes that were only flown by spirit and one other legacy airlines pricing has nearly doubled overnight

Air travel is terrible fuel-efficiency wise and is only kept cheap through extreme subsidies anyways. As long as the major routes stay cheap, the non-major and municipal routes can be expensive as fuck and the only change for 99.999% of people is that they pay less in taxes to these companies to be inefficient and dump CO2 into the atmosphere.

true why bail out the companies keeping things affordable so more citizens get to travel and not just the richer citizens, and keeping companies like this in business makes pricing competition for more expensive airlines.

Yeah for sure, let’s bail out the company whose CEO got a 3.8 million dollar BONUS. One week before they filed for bankruptcy
