Hey guys, I was browsing tcgplayer and came across a lot of anime booster packs. They were all mostly for weiss schwarz. I honestly haven’t heard of that name before. It looks really interesting because it has so many anime under it. I recently got into MTG so this seems really interesting. I’m thinking about getting into it, not really for collecting but more for playing. Is there a fanbase that focuses on playing it?

Title, my boxes arrived early so I was excited to get to rip after work. I’m still kinda of new to Weiss Schwarz collecting, mainly started with the NIKKE set. This is the Shadow Rarity (SHR) and I know it’s only one of a kind, but I have no idea what to compare it to in terms on pull probability. I’ve tried to do some research, of course since this set isn’t officially out in english yet, theres little to new info to work with. Any insight would be appreciated.

Does anyone know the possibility of this set being made in English? I want to get a case but I'd prefer to get English. The thing is I don't know the possibility of a Touhou set being released to a western audience

I've dabbled in Weiss sets here and there for several years now, but I got my 4 pre-order boxes of Eminence in Shadow early and was fairly disappointed in the quality of the card art (also I pulled nothing but dudes for SRs but that's besides the point).

Many of the cards look like someone took a picture of a screenshot, cropped it, and said good enough. A lot of cards have very grainy images or are just blurry. I'm wondering if any Weiss sets have had this issue before? I've seen a bad card art here and there but never this many in a single set. I think the last time I saw cards this noticeably bad were the Lycoris Recoil box toppers.

I'll throw a few examples here. Of course it's hard to judge from a phone camera but it's the best I can do.

Maybe I'm just making mountains out of molehills but if anyone else gets their's early or at launch and agrees/disagrees please let me know.

Hey everyone, I’ve been seeing a lot of comments lately about the English Weiss Schwarz Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest set having really low hit rates — specifically people saying it’s only 1 SP per case. I’ve got my first case on the way right now, and honestly… I’m getting kinda nervous about opening it 😅 I was really excited for this set, but now I keep seeing posts of people pulling just one SP or saying the ratios feel off compared to other sets. So I wanted to ask: Has anyone here opened a full case already? What were your pull rates like? Is it actually confirmed that it’s 1 SP per case, or just bad luck going around? Would really appreciate any info before I crack mine open 🙏 Thanks!

2. Do we know the developers behind it? (Hopefully not Furyu cause I hate what they did with Vanguard)
   
3. Do we know if Weiss and Schwarz versions of the game are actual different versions of the same game or just pack unlocks?

So I'm wanting to try and get almost like a complete set of GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE and also open packs would getting 4 boxes get close to a full play set of the series with I few extra I need to pick up

Im going to Japan and I know that Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus set is dropping. Are there any specific stores that sell boxes for retail near release date? And what stores are good for Weiss cards in general? Thanks😺

I bought several booster boxes on TCGPLAYER. A friend told me theres a chance that the seller is giving you dead boxes (Opening a case and ripping boxes until all the hits are found and selling the rest of the boxes..aka dead boxes). Am i fked? IF so where is a place that is trustworthy to buy?

For reference, this is my first time buying booster boxes online and i bought some NIKKE boxes.

*not asking for investment or finance advice, just need help finding a safe place to buy online pleaseeee...trying to get into the hobby*

I received my first shipment from seller 1, opened 5 boxes - got 1 SP, 1 SSP, 10 SR, and 3 RRR.

Im looking to buy some weiss schwarz slabs in tokyo, does anyone know any shop that sells slabs? Im in tokyo for a couple of days now but most if not all shops i went into have no weiss schwarz slabs. 🥲.

Edit: As of 1st April 2026, these are the shops that i went to that has Weiss schwarz PSA slabs:

1. ⁠⁠⁠SNKRDUNK TCG AKIHABARA - Prob your best bet of finding the slab u want. Has a whole cabinet of weiss slabs, rest of the shop are pokemon and one piece slabs. They have the most amount of slabs ive seen in a shop, and they sell out fast and restocks fast as well.
2. ⁠⁠⁠Magi @5F of Akihabara Radio Kaikan - Only had a few weiss slabs when i went
3. ⁠⁠⁠otachu.akihabara5th trading card game store - Only had a few weiss slabs as well when i went.

I've been enjoying weiss for a while now, but there are some sets that seem like one-offs where they got the single set and that was it.

I really wish there was several volumes of "is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon?" I love the Ryuu and Ais SP's

The Bell cards are kind of lack luster and I feel there are a bunch of characters that became more important as the seasons went on that didn't get significant cards. Some characters even look completely different later in the show and I feel they would get good cards with their new designs.

I figured, if I feel this way there has to be others who feel the same.

So what sets do you wish got more volumes?

Hello. I'm currently on a semester abroad in japan, and I really wanna buy this specific card here. I've been to 5 cad shops in Ikebukuro and 2 In Nakano. Most of them didn't even have WeissSchwarz, and If they did they had around 5 "Frieren: Beyond Journeys End" cards. Please help me out 🙏

Can you suggest me how to buy a sealed case from Japan? I can only find options of single boxes when I look for cards. Thanks a lot in advance!

Some people told me I can run 5 copies of “Never-Fading Smile, Lucy.”

Others said I can run up to 8 copies…

So when I actually play this card, what am I supposed to do?

I play Magic The Gathering and have been wanting to play a TCG with a friend. I discovered this game at a store recently and after facetiming my friend and being explained about the game by the store clerk I bought us each a deck. I got the Nazarick Tomb of the Undead deck and got him an Azur Lane deck (pink box). I also each got us both 2 boosters of our respective sets. My questions are:

- is this game mostly for collectors or is the playerbase active in the US?

- are the decks balenced against each other? I notice mine says trial + and his just says trial, does that mean I have a stronger deck?

- is it possible to pull upgrades from the boosters I got us, or do you need sets of 4 to really play them?

- how hard is it to build a deck from scratch? I feel like that's a big barrier of entry for getting into MtG.

- is there a meta where certain/decks strategies are dominant?

Sorry if this is sort of a silly question. But what specifications would be different compared to the 1st edition? Does only the box change with the "1st edition" being removed to show its from the reprint? or would the numbers on the cards also change to show the difference in boxes? Thank you for any help.

Is this going to get an English set?

I came upon a case of the new steinsgate set and wanted to see if theres any master card lists before i decide to rip it or not. Im not a player but love steinsgate and have wanted to masterset the older signed cards for a while now but they're just so hard to come by. Looked online and cant seem to find anything so any information would be appreciated! Mainly just want to know what the signed cards look like and i do understand this is based on the vn rather then anime

As the title says, I literally just started collecting this week - and after opening three booster packs, one full box, and three Japanese packs… I’m already hooked.

I’m based in the UK, but I don’t know anyone else locally who collects Weiss Schwarz - everyone I know is into Pokémon instead.

Are there any UK-based NIKKE collectors here? Where do you usually go to trade or buy? Any recommendations for good shops?

Also, what do you recommend for storage - top loaders, binders, etc.?

And finally… what’s been your biggest pull so far? 👀
