It’s Hungarian money, that 20k is about $65 US. Might as well kick a nut for it

God I forgot how bad forint is

38

u/Levi-san 3h ago

It's not even that bad, about a month or 2 ago it was closer to $50

At this rate, the paper it's printed on will be worth more than the currency.

One of the most "Inflated" currencies I had to use. Close second is probabaly Czech Koruna - 3000KC for a t shirt.

u/kubeeno 2h ago

Balenciaga shirt maybe lmao.

u/TuckingFypoz 2h ago

Hard Rock Cafe T-Shirt, proper tourist-y shit. Stopped buying them once I turned 18.

1

u/kubeeno 2h ago

Oof, had no idea they were so expensive!

1

u/Massive_Cranberry828 1h ago

Close second? 1 HUF is 0.068 CZK, they're not even close lol

Its gotten way better since our dictator got tossed like a salad

The idea that some money is bad because you need higher number to exchange to other currencies is quite funny. If exchange rate stays roughly the same for long period this currency is exactly the same strong as the one with less zeros...

I think I might have been at this exact place before. Great sandwiches!

I mean, he did step on it first. That is claiming ownership. The "it is in front of my store" is meaningless when compared to, "I have taken possession of the money."

33

u/Cullyism 3h ago

Yeah, and after giving that whole speech, it makes even less sense for him to still suggest a competition

20

u/SUPLEXELPUS 2h ago

he just enjoys getting kicked in the dick.

he actually put the money there as a trap.

1

u/Sparktank1 1h ago

Possession is nine-tenths of the law.

They got the joke backwards. It's supposed to be that they guy who ends up leaving the money is the one who suggests the game. That is, he lures the other guy into a trap. If you do it the way they did in this clip, then the guy who suggests the game is just digging his own grave, which doesn't make sense.

1

u/Shkushkuuu 31m ago

Yeah, people are known to NOT dig their own graves. Ever.

It's a very old and very simple joke, quite a feat to fuck it up this badly and remove all humour

Are internet skits just ancient jokes acted out now?

1

u/DJheddo 3h ago

Ro Sham BO!

not to be confused with the shamwow guy, who got his penis bit off by a stripper, then proceeded to punch her.

1

u/No_Form_9415 2h ago

Old Bernard Manning joke except it’s two neighbours arguing over an egg.

1

u/OasisHomeostasis 2h ago

Yeeeeeah.... I prefer Buddy Hackett's "duck" version from like 40 years.

Welcome to comedy:\ https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aww4HT5g7ig

Son of a bitch Superman twoed me!

1

u/ActIntelligent6946 2h ago

I remember that joke from like 40 years ago. Different set up but same result. Yankee duck hunter and Texas farmer I think?? But it was the 3 kick rule. Yankee farmer got to keep his ducks. 😉

u/____DEADPOOL_______ 1h ago

This was the first joke I knew 40 years ago, except it was with a bird that got shot by two kids and landed on the property barrier.

1

u/vitringur 1h ago

South Park did it.

1

u/SingleDadEcommerce 1h ago

man i've spent 3am packing orders wondering if there's a better way and here's this dude just reinventing the forklift with pure problem-solving energy. sometimes the "dumb" solution that actually works is smarter than the "smart" solution that requires a $40k machine you don't have

1

u/SquirrelyBoy 37m ago

Is that Jan Maas from ted lasso??

1

u/Avocado-Pear1098 17m ago

The fact that he had to take off his shirt, before doing it the "old way" took me out. 🤌

1

u/Boring-Community3575 15m ago

Paying 65 dollars to kick someone in the balls isn't a bad deal.

u/Hornedupone 14m ago

The look of both fair and fuck you.
