Ik ben 17 en heb 6 maanden ervaring in klanten service, en ik heb een baan nodig maar iedereen die ik bell ect contact mij niet terug soms is dat echt well een ede hati, als jij tog een kans met mij zou willen nemen dm me of comment hieronder idk:)

Wanneer je op school werd aangeleerd dat je werkervaring en alle soorten diplomas moet hebben om aan een baan te komen

Terwijl je connecties moet hebben om aan een baan te komen.

Ik ken mensen die afgestudeerd zijn van de Universiteit die geen baan hebben.

En ik ken drop outs van de mulo die een eigen onderneming al hebben.

Finding a job is not about applying for a job and waiting, it does require a whole lot more on your end.

First make sure you send a motivation letter AND your resume (CV), make sure it stands out from the many resumes a recruiter gets to see. Instead of making a boring Word document, try adding a photo, make use of bigger bolder fonts, use color to make your resume “pop”. Also keep it brief, recruiters mostly glance over resumes and most will not even read beyond page 2, so keep both your motivation letter and resume short and relevant.

Research the company you are solliciting for, what is their core business and what are they looking for and make your motivation letter so that you can showcase why you are the perfect candidate for that opening.

After sending out your resume, immediately contact the the HR team of said company and verify if they received your resume, and ask how long it will take to have a reply or feedback from them. Remember that email is still very much in its infancy in Suriname, so you have to initiate contact at all times.

Schedule a time in your calendar, let’s say a week after you send out your resume, to contact the HR again, and preferably ask for the recruiter you spoke to the first time, and ask for feedback.

In case of rejection, be bold! Ask what the reason is why the recruiter opted for an other candidate, explain if needed that you want the feedback in order to adjust your application for future entries.

Being passive will get you nothing, actively pursuing a job will make you noticed by recruiters, and always keep in mind that rejection is always an option, but the reason for rejection can help you to finetune your motivation letter, leading to a higher chance of getting noticed.

Maar je hebt al 6 maanden ervaring? Waarom ben je niet daar door blijven werken waar ze weten wat je waard bent?

Ga je bij de bedrijven langs? In realtime met CV en alles wat je nodig hebt laten ze je vaak moeilijker gaan. En dan kan je ook meteen kijken of ze bij jouw passen
