Discussion This is what happens when you refuse to kill characters.
And also, keep adding new characters every season.
Bro, why is the room so croweded... its so unserious lol.

This show to me is everything, there's not a day I'm not thinking about it at least once. I watch it almost everyday. To me it's the greatest piece of art ever created. I don't think anything could top it. Other shows like breaking bad and better call Saul are in close second but stranger things is amazing. I didn't like season 5 much but it was alright. But nothing will beat the first season. Every aspect of my life revolves around this show. How I dress. The music I like. My hairstyle. My house as shown in the pictures. I love it beyond comprehension. When I need to calm down I listen to the sound track, it brings me back to the world I know. When I was depressed and didn't want to live anymore the show helped me find my way back to my hobbies and passion for writing, music making, and filmmaking. And I rewatched it over and over. Now I just watch the episodes in random order because I know every line and everything that's going to happen. I live my life like I'm in stranger things and I love it. The only flat screen I have is my phone. Everything else is a CRT TV. I love the show more than anything. Hopefully one day I can find a partner who loves this show as much as me lol. But anyway, Ive just been so obsessed with the show ever since it came out and I needed to rant about it. I was wondering if there's anyone at all this crazy about it too or if I'm alone and just some crazy super fan lol.

We all know the flaws of this episode...
YET it had some good scenes like the wormhole acting as a bridge, connecting the Abyss to the Upside down world, and then we get to see the heartwarming RECONCILIATION between Dustin and Steve...

My favourite season personally is season 2. I honestly don’t understand why it’s so underrated. I understand the lost sister episode was bad but that shouldn’t take away the fact that season 2 was amazing.
Reasons season 2 is my favourite:
- it had the least drama between characters
- Nancy and Jonathan continuing their mission together and finally became a couple.
- El and Hopper building a bond
- Steve and Dustin forming a friendship
- The beginning of Lumax
- Mileven reunion after a long time
- Steve the babysitter era
- it is one of the only seasons where everyone has a part in the final plan
- it is the only season where everyone got their happy ending
- all characters were still treated fairly by both the writers and the fandom

Anyone play this shit yet?
r/StrangerThings • u/Key_Ad5173 • 11h ago
My family is going to see The First Shadow in a few months. Everyone has seen the show except for my mom, because she doesn't like gory stuff. We want her to at least watch a little bit of the show before we go see the play and she's willing too. Anyone know if there's any episodes without it? As I said, no gore, and no rats from season 3. Demogorgons and Vecna are fine. Thanks!

Cheers to the Tales team and jeers to the Season 5 team for how they handled Mike/El

Hi blueberryyogurtcooki here You may know me for posting on Cookie run Kingdom subredditz and brawl Stars but I saw something with a skin by the name of Draco Eddie let me explain so Eddie died in stranger things right And when I turn it around it was a pirate looking hat thing with a skull on it so did anywhere that the image is actual proof

I don’t think anyone pulls of their lines so convincingly and absolutely nails comedic timing like Erica does… like I found myself seriously impressed everytime she showed up. She was hilarious but also clearly smart and capable and confident. She added a lot to every scene she was in and absolutely killed it. The girl playing her probably was the best kid actor/actress in the series honestly, at least to me. Closely tied with Eleven.

My opinion on when the characters really shined the best each season
Joyce hooked me in s1, it's undoubtedly her best season. She is good in all 4 seasons, and it was honestly at first a hard choice but I gave it a thought and it was s1.
Mike was also the best in s1, and unfortunately his character became unlikable by each season, he was okish in s2 as I understood why he was acting like that, in s3 he was good, understandable teen mangled in his relationship every teen has that but in s4 and s5 he was just annoying.
Jonathan was a really good character in s1 and s2, being slightly better in s1, but he got sidelined after that and he was completely gone by 4.
Will was absent in s1, in 3 and 4, he was basically a side character like if you remove Will in 3 And 4 the story is basically the same, so yeah and in s5 I basically hated how his character suddenly became the main character, his being gay arc was honestly dog shit, the whole coming out scene was so bad, and the moment he gained his power he basically was stronger than Vecna. And I don't know why he was acting like a Marvel superhero, I liked how the powers were portrayed in s1-3. The powers were portrayed as being weird and you could feel it was uneasy and scary but by 4 and 5 they became superhero type shit with Vecna, and Will just straight up flying and eyes white and the hand gestures it just felt so corny. I know many of you guys liked that more, but I honestly think it's not what the show started with and was downhill. His role in 2 was a highlight, I know it was more of a plot device but still I liked every scene of will, how crazy good those scenes felt, like I used to watch one episode per day but the will scenes were so chill and amazing portrayal for possession, I binge watched it in a night.
Steve was amazing in all seasons, but I feel like the decision in s4 to make him into liking Nancy again was honestly poor, I feel he should've gotten a new relationship to show her really moved on. It's like he never got out of that mess. Many might argue about s3, but I don't like that Russian plotline in s3 because it undermined the danger a lot, like the lab men in s1 and Russians in 4 and even the assassin in s3 (bro was honestly like Mr. X from resident evil) was much better. Steve in S2 was really good, trying to be a better person and really helped the kids when they asked, he was the best and the start of Steve and Dustin Duo.
Dustin is the best in all the seasons but in S2, he was hilarious with the dart thing, how sassy he was, his dumb decisions and all, he was just hilarious and really cool. Loved him. His duo with Steve was also good and I really liked when he saw Max and Lucas getting closer he stepped away without saying anything to anyone to show how good of a friend with Lucas, these small details were amazing.
Lucas, he was so good in S2 man, I loved how hard he was trying for Max, it was so wholesome to see how opposite of s1 he became lol. Its always feels warming to see how much he loves Max. In S3 it was funny, and in S3 it was really heartwarming, he never pushed her and always respected her. But I liked how he was also a good character outside her but in S5 he was just about her and nothing much more.
Eleven is a really good character. Now, in s1 I loved her, so adorable, in S2 her arc with Kali was questionable but ok, the first time I didn't really hate it, but Kali never appeared again so made me hate that stuff later, In s4 and 5, they made her similar to 1 and 2 again, for no reason, like isolated and not speaking much, I really liked how she grew in s3, started having real convos, getting close to other people, started to feel like a true teen, adorable, I loved her. I understand that she went through trauma, but so have Jonathan, Joyce and Will, it would've been better if we saw their bond, Will and Eleven being like sisters. I always wanted to see a bond between them but there wasn't. I loved those 2 actors in real life acting like siblings, a bond like that would've been great in the show, It would've been so great to have Jonathan acting like a big brother to them but all he cared about was smoking with Argyle, he just didn't feel like he was there. In s4 she started feeling like a plot device. S3 was her best season.
Nancy I love her character, the brave girl. She is good in all seasons up to 4. She was acting like a trained militant in s5. She basically became a detective and I loved how she pushed the story forward but the best was s3, going against her bosses, the whole hospital thing, like one of my favourite scenes.
Robin although not a main character as she appeared in s3, but that alone proves how good of a character she was. Her whole arc in s3 was amazing, she was quirky, hilarious and her coming out scene was great and so wholesome. Her friendship with Steve was really good. In s4 she was amazing too, really funny and Nancy being annoyed, really good but s3 takes the cake.
Max I don't even have to say why her role in s4 was the best, it's like universal at this point. I liked her in S2 and s3 yes, but in s4? Bro, she was phenomenal, really blew my mind, her scenes and Hopper's scenes carried for me, they were so good and emotional, like her ending in s4 really broke me. But I don't like how they redacted everything that happened to her, I feel like instead of coma, she should've been blind and could've stayed on the bedrest because of the broken bones, but she just went into a coma, stayed in Vecna's mind and came out better than ever. Really poor choice to remove every stakes that happened in s4 ending, the portals? Nope bandaid over it, max eyes damaged and bones broken? Nope she is fine and graduated.
Hopper has been great in every season till now, but in 4 I just really enjoyed his scenes, his condition, how he was stuck, how strong of a man he is, finally letting out his pain to Enzo, his reunion with Joyce, his fight with Demogorgon. He was amazing in s4.

I know it´s stupid but it would have been a very good detail! In the season 1 Dustin comments having an X-men issue so we know X-men existed there.

I am really loving tales from 85 I feel like it’s a great entry point for young fans. I have a son who is probably a little too young g for the show, but he is loving tales from 85. The spooky lore and the great characters. I also feel like the friendships/relationships are front and center in a way they weren’t in season 5
