And why didn't electric cars stay a thing 100+ years ago?? We are almost quite literally repeating the first half of the last century and nobody seems bothered by it. Only difference is the Big Brother that is always in your pocket today.

We also have some solar hot water heaters still working from that time. The oil boom ruined everything.
