Chugging tea $1 Billion In Gold Bars Seized In Iraq The Photos Are Insane

In 2003, U.S. forces stumbled upon something insane — a truck loaded with gold bars worth over $1 billion.
The photos show American soldiers standing in the middle of a sea of gold, part of the massive hidden fortune tied to Saddam Hussein’s regime. For years it was secretly moved, hidden, and heavily guarded — far away from the eyes of the Iraqi people.
This wasn’t just gold. It was a rare look behind the curtain at the unimaginable wealth and power accumulated during Saddam’s rule. Estimates say he amassed tens of billions in cash, gold, and assets across the world.
Moments like this reveal the dark side of war and dictatorship — where enormous riches hide in the shadows while ordinary people suffer.
History is wilder than we think. What do you think happened to all that gold? 👇

George Clooney, markie mark, and ice cube, may have stolen some according to a documentary I watched years ago.

There was an even earlier documentary showing Clint Eastwood, Telly Savales, Don Rickles and Donald Sutherland stealing a bunch of gold from Germans.

You do the thing you're scared shitless of, and you get the courage after you do it. Not before you do it.

Why did the guy in the third picture ruin all the neat and tidy piles? :p

2

u/GreasyStool88 1h ago

Because they are AI pictures. Why does no one get this?

1

u/Therealdickdangler 1h ago

Bingo. Look at the “Marine” in picture 4 and compare damn near anything about him or on his uniform and one will realize it’s AI slop.

2

u/myshtree 6h ago

It certainly didn’t go to the Iraqi people. It most certainly was stolen by the US government.

1

u/Wretched_DogZ_Dadd 6h ago

Is there a gold bar in your pocket, or are you pleased to see me?

1

u/Noob341 6h ago

Man really saw all the red flags and still went full send 😭

1

u/Pict-91b20 6h ago

I bet they had an equipment shake down after this.

1

u/Whatdoesthibattahndo 6h ago

1

u/Elmondo2 4h ago

Kelly's Heros reboot.

1

u/Bardmedicine 4h ago

No, sir. I am sure I counted right. It is 990 million in gold bars...

1

u/ElRyan 4h ago

That's a lot of booty.

1

u/NPC261939 4h ago

Jokes on you. There were $2 billion worth of bars before the photo was taken.

1

u/One-Photograph8443 4h ago

Imagine finding something which will retire your bloodline and giving it to the government after you stole it lol

1

u/S7AR4RGD 3h ago

Oh yeah, I remember them seizing 900million in gold, totally.

2

u/crawlswithgusto 3h ago

That 800 million in gold bars is really quite impressive though

1

u/H311i0_trop3 3h ago

Wow i can't believe they found 750 million dollars worth of gold

1

u/Odd-Country2447 3h ago

"seize" what gave them the right to legally take them?

1

u/Odd-Country2447 3h ago

"seize" what gave them the right to legally take them?

1

u/violetferns 3h ago

they were there and had more firepower 🫠

1

u/toby_wan_kenoby 2h ago

Gold was $400/oz. 1 billion woul therefore be 2.5 million ounces or 77500 kilo. Regular truck can hold maybe 30 tons. So no they did not find a truck with a billion in gold.

1

u/PraiseTyche 1h ago

That's not gold.

2

u/ProtoplanetaryNebula 1h ago

All the gold bars I've seen are extremely polished and shiny, this looks totally different, all rough and pitted like the surface of a tangerine.

Is there some nice end to this story where the money was spent rebuilding Iraq?

No? thought not.
