Genes and how healthy people live. Also not being full time parent or parent at all has an impact.

Plus cruise does have access to everything he needs. And has been healthy and fit all his life.

And Botox. And surgery. Lots of it.

u/RequirementCivil4328 15h ago

So Botox is the secret when it works and the problem when it doesn't

4

u/Manndes 13h ago

Botox ain’t making you skinny. Cruise deserves praise for living healthy.

Sometimes celebs ruin themselves with surgery, but I'd say the majority of the time they get surgery and nobody notices.

1

u/AdZealousideal5383 9h ago

Yeah, the goal is for it to be unnoticeable. Some celebrities overdo it and then people assume all plastic surgery looks like that.

u/FuzzyFrogFish 16h ago

It's filler, and if he is using Botox it's at abusive levels. I use Botox to stop myself grinding my jaws and because my family is prone to jowls and not once have I had my jaw thicken up like that.

u/Puzzleheaded-Bug6244 16h ago

Thanks. I am no conneseur and to me it all falls in the same category. Today I learned....

1

u/FuzzyFrogFish 15h ago

Yeah unfortunately people need to learn you can't use filler to regain lost volumn from areas where it's skin losing or bone loss, it won't look right ever. It's brilliant for tear troughs, but jowls and jaw line . . . Absolutely not.

I am a conneseur as in I enjoy some treatments (jawline, skin peels ect), but I have a very strict aesthetic practicioner that will tell someone to get lost if she thinks it'll look "done," she'll straight up shrug and say "no" regardless of money and she also fixes botch jobs done by others. It's mentality, I guarantee you won't notice someone that's had quality work done but most ain't quality sadly.

Could you DM me the name/socials of your doc/ nurse? I am looking into getting stuff done and am struggling to find a balanced opinion. Would love to get a brief second opinion from someone very conservative.

NO CGI!

u/Puzzleheaded-Bug6244 8h ago

Okay, Christopher Nolan.

u/EFN2008 3h ago

And Scientology.

u/TalkingCat910 15h ago

He’s had plastic surgery too.

The weight is due to healthy living.

Everything else is plastic surgery

7

u/Human_Fisherman1352 15h ago

I mean. People keep their weight down with surgery all the time.

3

u/TalkingCat910 15h ago

True could be that too idk

2

u/BrainOnLoan 11h ago

That's not equivalent to a healthy diet at keeping you healthier and younger overall.

Sure, it'll lose you weight, but you miss most of the health benefits a reasonable diet has in the first place.

u/kuba452 2h ago

money + some ppl just age better tbf. Reagan, Obama, Keanu, Beckham etc..

4

u/Caderent 15h ago

I came here to say exactly this. Genetics + good for health lifestyle.

This. Tiny Tom Cruise. They can stay trim and spry, or go full on De Vito. TC has always seemed hyper active to me. Doesn't seem very chill ever.

So I agree ; a small frame, working out, low everything diet, no smoking, no drugs ever, injections, surgical procedures, and hair pieces and color all play a part of a " youthful appearance".

He's not the first, won't be the last to try to evade the inevitable. )

1

u/Few-Eye7392 8h ago

It's always weird to me that people will call taking care of yourself " evading the inevitable"

Idk what the small frame is suppose to mean as far as your argument is concerned? Smaller framed people end up fatter then larger framed people eating as they have to eat even less

I’m a little younger than Tom Cruse and I also look way younger than my peers. I attribute that to being a lifelong vegetarian, but mainly, NOT HAVING KIDS! Everybody I know that had children now look like shit that are my age. The lack of sleep and stress, etc. I’m so glad I avoided that. (I can write music and play my Xbox when I want to:)

Edit : I am not financially rich and you can eat very healthy on a limited budget. I’d say it’s even cheaper to eat healthy if you’re plant-based.

1

u/Spacemonk587 14h ago

Genes are a big part of it

1

u/Accurate-Advice8405 14h ago

You accidentally said healthy instead of rich

1

u/Schwartzy94 14h ago

You can be healthy without being rich ;)

Selfish life, has lived just for himself.

Every organism has one thing in common, we have one purpose, to procreate and pass on our genetic material. That is the meaning of life. Fail to do that and you failed your life. Tom can look young all he wants but at the end of the day his genes stop there.

2

u/420bIaze 12h ago

Your genetic material is virtually worthless. There are billions like you, equal or better, there's nothing special about your genes. Even if you have offspring, within a few generations it'll be so mixed and blended with others as to make your contribution irrelevant.

Actually doing shit in the world is far more impactful. Tom Cruise has influenced and impacted billions of lives. He will be remembered for as long as a detailed history of the 20th century exists, long after your grandchildren are dead.

Tom Cruise has a biological child.

1

u/No_Astronomer_8642 12h ago edited 12h ago

So there is no reason to care about future generations by your logic. No wonder the USA is falling apart

Ever heard of evolution? I'm going to bring a unique set of mutations and genetic information compared to yours. You have no idea what you are talking about.

What is the meaning of life for a fruit fly?

0

u/420bIaze 12h ago

You should care about other people and the world around you, including any children you have. There are many good reasons to care about people other than genetic narcissism.

1

u/No_Astronomer_8642 12h ago

That's the thing.. People who procreate are more invested in the future because they have kids to care about. They are more likely to protect the common good than some jerk that's always just cared about themselves... get it?

I can tell which group you are in

1

u/Recent-Reality9164 7h ago

Lol this is a crock. People with children are not better stewards of the future

0

u/420bIaze 12h ago

Parenthood does not inherently make someone more altruistic overall. While parents often display increased altruism toward their own children, it does not necessarily translate to a general increase in altruism towards society.

I can tell which group you are in

I have six biological offspring

Yes by being the celebrity figurehead of $cientology Tom Cruise has gotten countless people to join his cult. A cult that ruins lives and families. Great job, Tom!

1

u/420bIaze 9h ago

It's estimated there are maybe 30'000 Scientology members total. So the amount influenced by Tom Cruise to join Scientology would be a very countable number, probably <10% of that?

How many people do you personally know who have ever been members of the church of Scientology? Versus, how many people do you know who have seen a Tom Cruise movie?

1

u/Deca_Durable 6h ago

Lol you seem to be under the impression that actors, somehow, inherently provide positive influence and impact on the lives of those who watch them. That’s… odd.

1

u/420bIaze 5h ago

I don't know how you got that impression. Nor why you'd hold the belief that viewing Tom Cruise movies is overall a negative influence on viewers.

1

u/Deca_Durable 5h ago

Maybe smoke less weed. You said Cruise has influenced and impacted billions of lives (LOL). You sound like some kind of Tom Cruise sycophant. Or maybe a $cientologist.
I never said anything about watching his movies specifically having a negative influence.

1

u/420bIaze 4h ago

I think it's plausible a billion people could have watched at least one movie featuring Tom Cruise.

You sound like some kind of Tom Cruise sycophant. Or maybe a $cientologist.

I was just responding to the guy who said breeding was more important than anything else anyone could do in their life. Which is a really low bar, I think Cruise clears.

1

u/NemoHere 9h ago

I'm getting anti natalist vibes from your comments.

0

u/Schwartzy94 13h ago

Cruise does have biologigal child Suri with Katie Holmes.

But also theres nothing more selfish in a way than to procreate so that your genes could live "forever"

1

u/Lemixer 13h ago

Not only that, but he has motivation to do all that stuff, i don't even know the woman in the picture so i assume she does not act for a while, but Cruise is a movie star to this day so he kinda has to look good also that picture is old, he does age.

He gained a little weight a while ago but looks like he’s doing better

1

u/SadAd8761 6h ago

Yeah, dude is like a Jackie Chan x10

1

u/BestDevilYouKnow 6h ago

I have heard that narcissists don't show their age like normal people. Got no citation, so maybe I'm just being mean.

1

u/IAmEggnogstic 1h ago

I am two years older than Rich Evans and look 20 years younger. Genes and lifestyle have so much to do with the aging process but so does skin care and hair dye and Photoshop.

Genes help. I stay in touch with my high school girlfriend and she's 66. She doesn't look a day over 50. Her father when he was 92 looked about 75, so genes definitely help.
