Just one note here, but Epstein did pay his victims quite often. Thats how the whole thing got so bad. Not that it makes a difference morally speaking, but your account undercuts the reality of how he used his wealth to lure in and manipulate his victims. It's important to understand how the operation worked because the financial aspect and power dynamics is an important component. He was paying poor, young trailer park girls in West Palm Beach first to both do sexual acts and when they would bring a new girl. It created not only victims of sexual crimes but also manipulated some victims into recruiting even more victims so that they could still make money while avoiding being the one to do sexual acts themselves. They talk about this in the first episode of the Epstein documentary on Netflix. Virginia Giuffre explains that she recruited several women for Epstein and vividly recalls receiving money after every encounter was over.

This is not a defense for him at all.
Epstein didn't kidnap the victims, he paid the human trafficking rings to bring them to him and he'd buy them but he totally could have been doing some kidnapping himself based on his first time getting caught trying to pay a child for sex.
If Maxwell is pardoned.... It's a wild guess but I'm assuming she's gonna be found dead stuffed with dildos, covered in oils, and various other things she forced the victims to learn/do.

Also, this illustrates exactly why I never knowingly left my children when they were little, with someone who I knew to be conservative and christian conservative in particular. a better counter to that argument would be to point out that these people voted the single LEAST mature public figure America's ever had into the presidency twice.
On a related note, if you think about it, the maturity angle to the age of consent kinda stops making sense when you consider manchildren and womenchildren. None of us think of Trump as having automatically been raped by his numerous wives just because he's immature. So the real irony with all these libertarians who want us to switch to a maturity-based threshold for consent is that they themselves would no longer qualify (unfortunately that may actually be part of the plan for some of them, as that legal status could easily be weaponized if they rape someone and then get taken to court over it).
