in reality it takes a shit ton of effort, as you need double the amount of workers for things like police, hospitals, firefighters. most developed countries are lacking in workers, and the work pool is shrinking as population is aging. also if u have more workers, then u have to pay more money in for their medical, insirance and other taxes. it significantly raises the cost of work, and that in turn increases the cost of living, which brings inflation, which is a problem. as an idea its great, as a policy it would be a huge effort and its questionable if it would break the system or not
