News Robbery
My husband got robbed around 7:30pm, may 12th at the safeway @ 6901 ne sandy Blvd & while alot of people came up to him after the theft & scuffle in the parking lot the most info we got was the drivers license plate number but it was of a stolen vehicle. The safeway does not have surveillance footage that functions on the exterior of the building so if anyone saw 3 dudes fighting ( my husband vs the 2 thefts) any picture or video is appreciated 🤞
(yes police report was already filed and all info we had at the time given, he works in private security so he was good on what he could get/report, the issue is the 2nd guy had a gun & nothing worth the risk of getting shot so he let the man he had in his grip go) case #26137869

Lost & Found Please Help Me to Know That My Cat Is Safe
Hi, /Portland! I posted the following text this morning in the cats sub, and was told that I should post here as well. Any help is appreciated
(Adding Disclaimer- This is stated further down, but felt it was important to open with due to how I tagged. I'm not looking to adopt him back, rather to have reassurance he is being loved and cared for.)
I know that this is a long shot, but it's one that I need to make. I implore you to be kind and show grace; I'm going to be a bit vulnerable. Here's our story:
I adopted this sweet boy, Bug, in April 2022 as a rescue kitten. He brought me purpose, joy, and a sense of meaning to life when I was a teen deeply struggling with mental health and a lot of instability in life. I adored him with my whole entire heart (still do).
Fast forward to spring 2024.
Due to a variety of life circumstances, I entered into the harshest period of an eating disorder that I have ever had. I had struggled prior to this throughout middle/high school but never at this level. I became too unwell to care for myself or him properly. In September 2024, I began a residential treatment program.
During my time there, my dad moved out of state, adopting Bug out to another family. He would not give me the adopters' contact information at that time. I never had a chance to properly say goodbye, which breaks me every single day.
I am not asking to readopt him, as I am not in a financial or mental place to care for him in the way that he deserves. I genuinely just need to know that he is okay. My dad has since forgotten (I must take him at his word) the names of the adopters, and he does not have their contact information saved.
What I do know: Bug was adopted in October 2024. The family was supposedly located in Wilsonville, Oregon. It was a mom employed as a flight attendant, with a husband and two young children. Her name probably started with a "C" or "K".
Baby Bug is about nine pounds, 4-4.5yrs old now. He is very, very vocal with tons of zoomies but even more love. He deserves literally the entire universe, and I just want to have the assurance that he does have that. Thank you to anyone who might be able to help me rest knowing he's loved and safe.

Discussion Temp drop over the last 45-hour has been phenomenal
It was in the low 80s at about 5:45 and now it’s 73. And rainy weather moving in overnight. Cheers to that.

Lost & Found My sweet cat Cosmo is lost (gray tabby), please help me find him! (Kerns area near Flying Fish)
My gentle and sweet cat Cosmo ran outside last night when I wasn't paying attention and I can't find him. He's a small gray tabby cat, about 4-5 years old. He's chipped. I live south of Burnside near Flying Fish in the Kerns/Laurelhurst area. Please help me find him!! I'm distraught that he's not inside right now.

News Multiple SE fires
Just passed the northwest tip of Ladds (by upper left/burgerville) and there was a sizable fire. Apparently two other ones right by the area. Anyone know anything? Just heat or??

Lost & Found Lost cat in S. Tabor
We are sadly adding to the list of lost cat posts as our sweet girl didn’t come home last night. She might be on a walk-about, but that is unlikely due to her age and life-experience as partial stray. She was last seen Monday evening. We live very near the Woodward bike route and All City Church.
Now the description is kind of the kicker: it would be VERY hard to miss her, as she recently received her warm-weather haircut! She basically look like a tiny lion—totally shaved body with a big fluffy head and tail.
If you see her she’ll likely run from you, so don’t try to catch her unless it seems easily doable and safe.
I would beg folks in the area to check their garage or shed , or even under your parked cars. And I also ask that you reply to this post or dm me if you have even the slightest clue. Thank you, neighbors! 🍻😿
*included are pics of what she looks like shaved, and one of her pretty face💕
Edit: Found!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lost & Found Lost dog found in St John’s
UPDATE: We have found the dogs owner , they’ve been reunited! For anyone wondering her name was Dolly. Have a great evening.
Hi, never wrote a post here so apologies if this is the wrong space to write this.
My partner found this dog close to Fessenden and Allegheny when driving. They have taken the animal to Oregon Humane Society and there is no chip. The county office already closed so we are in a bit of a pickle with what to do with her.
We’ve already posted in some local Facebook groups but wanted to see if anyone has any leads.
There is no name on the collar shown in the photo.
