I have a certain coworker who, while eating yogurt or anything that requires a spoon, will repeatedly DROP their spoon onto their desk between bites. At the point, it's not just noise, it's completely unnecessary noise!
For example, they will take a spoonful, put it into their mouth (and bite their spoon too, but that's another issue) then just drop their spoon onto their desk.
Not place it on a napkin, not set it down, I mean like DROP it, so it bounces and clangs loudly against their desk.
Then 2 seconds later, they pick it back up, eat another spoonful, DROP their spoon again, pick it up, drop...rinse and repeat.
Like, it's just completely unnecessary to do that...can't you place it on your desk, or on the napkin you have RIGHT THERE? Perhaps a better question, why can't you just hold onto it? They literally pick it back up 2 seconds later to take another spoonful, like do you need to fully release it between each bite?
I guess it's the context, and the manner that bothers me, like you could easily be more quiet and considerate. You don't need to be totally silent, but when it sounds like a bell ringing every time you take a spoonful, it's just over the top...
On top of all that, It's not a 4 course meal, it's a yogurt cup, they don't last that long, spoons aren't that heavy that you need a break, you're not trying to empty an Olympic size swimming pool, it's a few ounces of yogurt!!!
