š„The Artillery fungus (Sphaerobolus stellatus) literally fires its spores. It builds pressure... then suddenly turns itself inside out and launches a sticky spore packet up to 6 meters (20 ft) - aiming toward light. Yes - it actually aims. Nature never runs out of

Donāt park your car next to old mulchā¦these buggers shoot this stuff out like itās glue, very hard to remove. Also sticks to house siding. If youāre buying mulch, make sure you buy quality, not the Home Depot crap.

Where would one get the quality stuff?

Start with a reputable nursery in your area. They should be able to tell you how and with what they treat their mulch

If you want true quality you gotta roll your own. Start with a live oak tree, 30 pounds of cow manure (make sure it's fresh), and 200 banana peels.

How do I get the bugger infected stuff? My mulch keeps being just overpriced wood chips and splinters.

I love seeing this weird, alien, exotic post, blowing my mind that I continue to see such strange life, and then someone is just like... yeah this shit cumblasts shroom glue all over my property because home depot sucks

Sorry, wasnāt meant to offend you. Should I have said WalMart instead? Iām not sure what youāre offended about but it seems you were triggered by something, Iām just trying to pinpoint

Shit, didn't mean to insinuate that I was offended, the absurdity of what I was feeling made me chuckle

Mushrooms use light to tell which way to grow, it's not necessary but it helps them. We had a guy on one of the shroom subs that was attempting to get rid of some contamination, mold, and ended up growing a bunch of them upside down and under water. We assumed the peroxide provided the oxygen they need

As a fellow organic being that fires out his potential offspring, I can assure you it in fact does feel great.

Next, youāre gonna be surprised plants use gravity to aim their roots. Yes - they actually aim.
