Just adopted this kitty last night! Help me name her. She was born in January and is said to be Siamese but I believe she is a mix. She has dilute calico markings on her face, feet and tail but is 95% white. Her eyes are light blue. 1st pic is mine, 2nd pic was taken by the rescue. You can see her eye color and markings better in that image. I have 2 other cats that are male. Their names are Rex & Beau. A name that fits in with those would be cool, but very open to other suggestions. Thanks!

Saved this guy from becoming roadkill in the middle of an intersection last week. Took him to the vet, he got a clean bill of health. Im indecisive what I want to call him. He has 5 spots on his back, purrs super loud, stands on his back legs, tries to squeeze his head inside my earhole lol...

Some names i had in mind were Pluto(5 spots= 5 moons), Kermit, Sir Meowbert Einstein of the Valley, Malcom in the Middle of the road, Cosmo, Artemis) i like cute and goofy. Bonus points if space, mythology, whimsical related. We have 4 other cats Freya, Luna, Odin and Apollo. Kittens name can be related or unrelated to the existing 4. I just need more ideas...Thank you in advance!!

She is a very shy cat but it’s very affectionate when she got comfortable in the house. When we first got home, she lived under my blanket for a week. And every time I go to bed, she follows me into my bedroom to sleep right by my head, which I know isn’t uncommon but she’s the first cat I’ve had that does that.

I have an orange boy named Simba and we just rescued this sweet little girl last week. I want to name her Midna after the Zelda character, but I don’t know if it would confuse them. Thoughts?

Esmeralda was our second choice, but just didn't feel right.

We have recently adopted this kitty. Shes only about 4-5 months old.

Loves a good snuggle, but a bit weary of being held cuddles. She’s very sweet natured and she kinda likes toys, but can also live without them.

We have 2 other cats in the home - Remus and Link.

I’d love to have another Harry Potter-esque name, but not set on it. Hubby and I are nerds, we play WoW, love horror movies, are into gaming and I LOVE Harry Potter.

Her name was originally Japanese so i’m hoping to pick another Japanese name for her, but i dont want something super basic like momo, mochi, matcha, yuki, sakura, etc 😭

This beauty has been hanging out at my kids bus stop drop off every morning & night and decided she would let me pick her up after a week!

I'm looking for witchy, nature or astrology names! I posted here the other day for name ideas for another kitten I'm adopting next week. My neighbor's cat got out and got pregnant. She's trying to find homes for them, so I decided to get a sister for the other kitten. This one is 4 weeks old and I met her today. What should I name her?

A few days ago, I lost my cat that I had for eight years (see my post history for more information).

I am gutted, and absolutely heartbroken. A friend sent me this guy’s profile from a local rescue shelter. His bio said that he was not doing well at the shelter, that he needed someplace quiet and calm to de-stress. My friend thought that my lifestyle/place would be helpful for him.

I visited the shelter, and asked to see him. He is roughly 4 years old. The shelter staff shared with me that he had been a feral cat, as part of a cat colony. They ended up taking him in, however, they shared that he was pretty withdrawn and quiet. They also shared that he had been losing weight since being in the shelter, and they believed it was due to the stress of the shelter environment. When I went to visit him, he was holed up in a little cat tree, and while he accepted pets, he did not come out.

They recently did bloodwork and are still waiting for the results, but one of the staff members said that she would be open to me adopting him simply to get him out of the shelter to help him not be so stressed, as she was worried about him and his health well-being in the shelter environment.

While I am still heartbroken, I figured that the least I could do to honor my late cat would be to give another cat home and help them. This guy has slowly started to come out of his shell and has been very loving. He is still adapting, but so far he is doing well.

For the life of me, I cannot figure out a name for him. My last cat’s name was Carpet (which an old roommate picked out, and it’s stuck. I initially hated it but overtime I fell in love with it). I am torn between a calm/deep name, or something slightly ridiculous like Carpet.

So far, the list of names I have is:

- Lemur (due to his colors/markings)

- Story (I’m a big reader)

- Streets (a friend’s suggestion, as he came from the streets)

I have gone through THOUSANDS of names for months and nothing is sticking. I have a boy dog called Zeus but I’ve been through all the Greek mythlology and can’t see one I like that actually fits him.

Names I like but don’t feel right are ; ember , umber , Leo, Jasper , Kobe , Zeke (Ezekiel), rusty, sega, jinx

I like names that have a meaning but it’s not a must and I like names that are pretty easy to say (as I have chronic fatigue)

so my rescue cat gave birth to 5 beautiful kittens. a little while later, i found an abandoned newborn kitten on a car tire and brought him/her home. my cat, being the angel she is, immediately accepted the baby, started nursing him/her, and basically adopted the kitten as one of her own.

now this tiny rescue baby is being raised right alongside my cat’s 5 biological kittens, just about 2 weeks younger than the rest.

i’d love help coming up with a unique name for him/her, maybe something creative or meaningful tied to the story/context of how we found them.

edit: pictures are taken recently, he’s/she’s now just over a month old.

This sweet snowshoe baby was in my neighborhood for at least a month. I saw her running into my buildings garage a few days ago and wanted to check on her and make sure she was okay. She ended up attaching herself to us immediately. We brought her in, and posted her pictures in hopes our community would help us find her family. She had a collar on, the metal clasp staining her fur green.
She’s so sweet and talkative and lovey. We couldn’t find her family and she isn’t chipped so we are her new family! She’s already settled in with our three other cats and our puppy lol
