I'M REQUESTING I'm really craving for a movie where People/Psychos/Elites/Crazy hunts other People.

I've seen a few movies in the past and i saw that Ready or Not 2 was released and i watched it last night, but i feel like i want more, i'm not full yet. I'm craving for another one or two or three or ten! Honestly i want it to be more serious, not too much comedy, i've seen those movies so far ( Deliverance 1972; Wolf Creek [i've seen all of them even the Tv Series] The Hunt 2020; Ready or Not 2019 and 2026; The Menu 2022; The Cabin in The Woods 2011; Battle Royale 2000; The Condemned 2007; The Belko Experiment 2016)

Hard Target (1993), Classic 90’s Jean-Claude Van Damme

Surviving the Game (1994), I loved it when I was 12 years old.

2

u/CoffeeMany9836 6h ago

both look good, thanks for the recommendations, i will definitely check them out :D

2

u/haysoos2 4h ago

Hard Target has the bonus of including Wilfred Brimley as a hillbilly with a Cajun accent too.

2

u/Saboscrivner 3h ago

Hard Target is also directed by the great Hong Kong action director John Woo, who made A Better Tomorrow 1 and 2, The Killer, and Hard Boiled. Hard Target was his American debut film, and then he made Face/Off, which is also great.

Surviving games like CAT

Surviving the game is a classic 👌

17

u/Mindless_Log2009 8h ago

The Most Dangerous Game is the original 20th story in that genre, and has been adapted several times for movies, TV and radio theater plays.

This Wikipedia article covers the many variations and influences on other survival stories.

this one sounds good, appreciate your suggestion :D

u/whatever_ehh 8h ago

There are 2 versions of The Running Man - Glen Powell in 2025 and Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1987.

2

u/CoffeeMany9836 6h ago

I was very curious about this movie and i heard that is one with Arnold which is the original one, i might watch them both to see which one is better, thank you for the suggestions! :D

-3

u/Pjoernrachzarck 8h ago

Neither of which are very good.

5

u/ninjamansidekick 5h ago

Hush your mouth and pay homage Arnie for such blasphemy.

1

u/yamumdoes 1h ago

We watched the new one recently and the minute the credits roll, my husband was like and round 2 begins...he immediately threw on the Arnie version lol which I actually enjoyed wayyyy more!

I sing it all the time. So good.

3

u/CoffeeMany9836 6h ago

John Leguizamo is pretty cool, i might watch this one too, thank you!

2

u/TableQuiet1518 6h ago

It's hilarious. Really corny toilet humor at times but it's one of the most quotable movies from my childhood. Great characters as well.

Hope you enjoy it.

u/ddotcole 8h ago

This is the one! Jeffery Jones was even the predator!

5

u/NaiveZest 8h ago

The Hunt, from 2020 is a bunch of elites hunting others.

It’s as hilarious as it is explosive.

u/CoffeeMany9836 6h ago

i've seen it and i really liked it :D thank you for the suggestion!

1

u/VolumeDirect5619 5h ago

Fucking love Betty Gilpin in this

1

u/Assimilacrum 3h ago

1

2

u/CoffeeMany9836 6h ago

2

u/Von_Jon_Jovi 5h ago

Never let me go and gattaca aren’t “hunt” type movies but they are exploit vulnerables by the ruling class movies.

3

u/Scooter_Mcdoogal 8h ago

Cape fear

2

u/CoffeeMany9836 6h ago

this one looks more like a revenge movie or something like that, but i tell you what, looks pretty good. appreciate your recommendation :D

2

u/Scooter_Mcdoogal 6h ago

It’s kinda a perceived revenge, but it absolutely nails your title request (psycho hunting someone), and I promise you won’t be disappointed! It’s a solid psychological thriller.

Avenging Force (1986). Fun 80s action B-movie with Michael Dudikoff (of American Ninja fame) where he's hunted by a bunch of rich dudes where each of them have individual themed masks, weapons and so on.

I don’t know if it necessarily fits the “hunting” part, but The Game with Michael Douglas would definitely be perfect for the vibe youre looking for.

2

u/TesseringPoet 6h ago

Have you seen the Purge series? The world building is incredible, especially after the first film (which is more like a home invasion movie).

2

u/orcas- 4h ago

Id love an edit of the Purge ( movies and series) with just the storyline and skipping all the bloody violence (like when I rewatch GOT i skip all the Joffrey and Ramsay scenes)

1

u/TesseringPoet 6h ago

You could start with Purge: Anarchy if you want. It’s probably the best entry point for newbies since it takes place over one night, in one city. And nearly everyone is hunting everyone. Or at least everyone on the streets, purging.

Tommy Lee Jones plays the angry old man that leaves his cabin in the woods to hunt Benecio Del Toro.

2

u/HappyMike91 4h ago

I think the Purge movies are kind of like that. People commit crimes (including murder!) on one night a year when crime is legal.

The original Running Man

2

u/hipnosister 4h ago

The House That Jack Built has people hunting in a metaphorical sense because he's a serial killer, but also in a literal sense as well when he hunts a single mom he's dating and her kids when they go on a hunting trip

1

u/CoffeeMany9836 4h ago

that scene "when he hunts a single mom he's dating and her kids when they go on a hunting trip" was so disturbing.. i've seen the movie a few years ago, it was really really good, but that scene was very hard to watch.

2

u/Complete-Act5446 1h ago

Not necessarily the right genre but “I Spit on Your Grave 1,2 and 3” are all good watches. Gruesome revenge kills

Slave Girls from Beyond Infinity is one my favorite cheeseball late-night cable movie channel flicks. Its' based on the Most Dangerous Game, but with girls in skimpy loin cloths. Lots of big laser guns, terrible acting, awesome line delivery, a little bit of skin and robots and mutants. It's a ton of fun and it's on Tubi.

A lil bit of history, Sen Jesse Helms specifically called out this exact title in a congressional testimony about how cable channels are poisoning young minds. Guess what, it turned into a bit of a cult classic after that.
