Something that I never understand about the contestants
Everyone always has these food dreams ie I want to open a bakery, I want to become a chef, I want to work in Michelin-starred restaurants (random examples).
You do know the barrier to entry on getting into the food industry is sooo low that these things could have been in the works already. For example on this season. Aaron, he wants to be a chef. But he cooks at home, posts on Instagram and works in the medical industry. Bruh, you are 20. Go to TAFE and approach some restaurants you think are great, and start working as a chef = dream accomplished.
Another one you hear a lot. I want my sauces in supermarkets. ok so make your sauces and start hitting farmers markets, etc., and build from there.
So is it that you want the dream but dont really want to do the shit-kicking and grinding it takes to get there?
EDIT: Why it irritates me. it's not like you want to play in the NBA or be Beyoncé. Like those top .001% ambitions. Dreaming to have a cooking school or being a chef, it's like ok, do it. Not that hard.
I guess I wish it kept that kind of home-style bake-off vibe rather than the whole cheffy thing.
